Which final fantasy game do you think had the best chocobo side quest system (like ff7 breeding, ff9 chocobo hot and cold, etc).
ff9's was addictive, but i think that 7 had the best overall. -------------------- kweh! |

FF7 and FF9. Gotta love them, Chocobos.

Although it was difficult, I'm gonna go with FF7's system.

I don't understand what everybody loves about the VII Chocobo racer. I would rank getting the gold chocobo as more tedious than findind all the fiends in X, specifically because of all the racing. Craziness..
I really liked the Hot and Cold from IX, and the really good stuff that you could unlock with it. |

Why's FF VIII not here? Sure, the whole Chocobo side-quest was pretty useless unless you wanted to have all the cards in the game, but it's my opinion that FF VIII's Mods de Chocobo is the best song Nobue Uematsu ever made.

Most entertaining: FFIX hot/cold
Most rewarding/difficult: FFVII breeding Overall though, I would have to pick FFVII's chocobo breeding system. It was VERY rewarding, and was difficult, which I loved. |

Whichever game it is, I always love chocobo music, they always manage to pick the best kind for that! the FF7 system was tedious, but it has been far too long since I've played FF9 to remember it

I liked FF9's Chocobo Hot and Cold game a lot more than any of the rest. FF7's takes second place and the other ones aren't even considered in because they have no fun factor.
![]() FF9's Chocobo system has a lot more properties than just walking around. You found items, useful items, and not to mention you could get around the world map easier when you were airship-handicapped. I liked the whole idea of Choco finding spiritual enlightenment in Chocobo's Paradise too; it added a little more depth to the whole process. -------------------- It's gonna be a glorious day I feel my luck can change |

FF7 was the best with Chocobos. I like betting on the races.

I liked FFIX's chocobos best. FFVII was simplistic and long. FFIX was challenging and rewarding throughout the entire time you did it.

Like someone said earlier, FF8 had a nice side-quest mode. But I think I liked tht normal way (like VI) where you just grab a chochobo and ride!

I found FFIX's the best. The Hot & Cold game was a lot of fun one your beak got higher in level. I found FFVII's long and annoying... Though it was very realistic in having to breed different types to get better types; and the odds were cool... like genetics...
