Have you picked up the items before? You can only pick up a tile once in a game. If you step on that tile ever again, you get hit with the trap. If you got the garbage items the first time, you're out of luck.

Yup, you can only get to Deep Dungeon in Chapter
You have to have defeated Possible spoilers: highlight to view in St. Murond Temple, but not have ventured into Orbonne Monestary. You have to go to Warjilis and watch the cutscene there and you'll be able to go to a small island out in the sea and that, my friend, is Deep Dungeon.Zalbag By the way, your chance of getting items via Move-Find Item are: 100% - Max Brave = Chance of Getting Item. This makes Rafa and Beowulf prime candidates since they have innately low faith. -------------------- It's gonna be a glorious day I feel my luck can change |

Techincally, yes, but it's quite a few storyline battles after Bed Desert. You have to get past Limberry, go to Gallione, then to the Temple, then to Deep Dungeon.

The good (or at least rare) items that are there include:
Save the Queen Blood Sword Yoichi Bow Mace of Zeus Kaiser Plate Faith Rod Iga Knife Excalibur Cursed Ring Secret Clothes Blast Gun Sage Staff Koga Knife Ragnarok Robe of Lords Perseus Bow Maximillian Grand Helmet Venetian Plate Chirijiraden Chaos Blade As well as the good items you can get from stealing or getting chests, or using the catch ability against Ninjas (high level ninjas will throw Chirijiradens, level 99 ninjas will throw Chaos Blades). Edit Yeah, that's what I get for looking at the guide, which might be the only thing more rife with errors than the game. It's Faith Rod (named after the status effect it gives you), not Fairy Rod.

Too bad I took a week's rest from FFT, but I'll get back to it very soon. -------------------- "I must not fear, fear is the mind-killer."
