Little Ninja Brothers - It's kinda of an RPG of sorts. I really like the game (even more so when I was younger). It's fun.

Super Mario Bros. 3 - In my opinion, THE best Super Mario Bros.

Mike Tyson's Punch Out- You kinda have to like boxing, but I thought it was fairly good.

Maniac Mansion- This game is weird, yet good.

River City Ransom- Do you like beating people up?

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2- It was better than part 1, and I liked it (and not just because it had turtles in it).

only ONE person mentioned castlevania. gosh, im pissed. 1 and 3 in particular, 2 isnt without its charm though. #1 is probably my favorite NES game.

faxanadu becomes very enjoyable, but sometimes takes a while to get into.
bomberman 1 and 2
mike tysons punch out
wizards and warriors
zelda 1 and 2
pin bot
any contra game
crystalis
the guardian legend
metroid
10 yard fight (the ONLy sports game i like, its so stupid its fun.)
mega man 1-6.
of course, the original SMB
blaster master
dragon warrior
final fantasy
excitebike
bad dudes (its only good part is the first scene, after that its garbage)

thats really just to name a few and keep the list short, my nintendo collection is the pride of all who see it. 150-200 games and counting, though my bass player has 312 or something like that.

I would've mentioned them, as the fact is I love the games and collect them (I have all 3 of the ones for the NES). Just I thought that we weren't going to be double-listing, and if someone else has already suggested it, to not post, since someone had suggested that's what we do. wink.gif

Also, are you planning on playing these games on the regular platform itself, or on an emulator?

Marble Madness - Incredibly inventive and addictive, an all time classic. The premise is too unusual for it to be released today.

Adventure Island - I can't believe these games weren't mentioned. Some of the best pure side scrollers on the system.

Destiny of an Emperor 1+2 - An unbiased eye might consider them better RPGs than the NES FFs and DWs. Definitely easier to get into. DoaE 1, not Suikoden, was the first RPG to have over 100 PCs.

River City Ransom has been mentioned multiple times already. Has anyone mentioned the soccer game and dodge game that used those characters? I can't remember their names right now, but those were great fun.

There is one game that is not being named that took countless hours away from my childhood. Even today, it continues to be a great game in my opinion.

The name of the game: Ducktales.

This is no joke post, the game really is amazing. I dare one of you to challenge its glory. tongue.gif

I still have the Ducktales cartridge, which rattles suspiciously. No joke, everytime I played that game, the weather got sunny.

I recommend Gargoyle's Quest II, it's an RPG/platformer starring the Red Devil from Ghosts 'N Goblins.
