I can't seem to beat that Shrine Knight. The bloody poison is annoying, and I almost had him in my grasp. What do I need to do?

On the site that is cleverly attached to the forums, there is a walkthrough of FFT. I would give that a check. It helped me out tremendously on my last play through.
