Well I just saw Kill Bill Volume 2 today and I have to say I was very pleased with it. Like my sequels at there, it wasn't as good as Volume 1, but it did a good job of completing the story. So if you enjoy Volume 1 you guys will enjoy Volume 2. So go out and go see the movie.

This is for you Angry_Lizard:
Possible spoilers: highlight to view There is a nice little quick sword fight between Kido(The Bride) and Bill. How Bill dies is that Kido uses the 5 Finger Palm Exploding Heart Technique(That Pia Mei thought Kido) on Bill. Bill walks his five paces and then dies. So there is it. That the was a cool little way for Bill die, but the sword fight should have been longer a cooler, since Bill is supposed to be an awsome swordsman. I could have just been a butthole and tell you to go spend another 5 bucks to see the movie again. -------------------- "Ye better start believing in ghost stories; you're in one!" -Captain Barbossa (Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl) |

Kill Bill 2 was great. Brilliant movie overall, but there was just one thing that made me mad, and two things that slightly dissapointed me.
Possible spoilers: highlight to view Mad- Beatrix doesn't get to kill Budd. Dissapointing-1. Elle is left alive (albeit blind) 2. I thought Pai Mei would be in it longer. But other than those gripes, I think it was a great finish, and would recommend it to any Tarantino fan. -------------------- Hip-Hop QOTW: "Yeah, where I'ma start it at, look I'ma part of that Downtown Philly where it's realer than a heart attack It wasn't really that ill until the start of crack Now it's a body caught every night on the Almanac" "Game Theory" The Roots |

considering Possible spoilers: highlight to view it was like pai mei was getting his revenge from beyond the grave, besides she probably gets bitten from the black mamba in her rampaging, or dies from thirst, starvation or over exposure -------------------- THE LIZARDSSS SHALL EATSSS YOU |

I split these topics away from the original Kill Bill thread, because people might want to discuss Volume 1 without seeing things about Volume 2.

Saw Volume 1 on Tuesday and just saw Volume 2 this afternoon. Great movies. 1 and 2 were very different, but both good. I for one liked what happend to Elle, although I thought Budd got a raw deal, but I'm biased because I think Mr. Blonde was a badass. Pai Mei was not only hillarious (as the over the top, stereotypical martial arts guy) but extremely badass.
What suprised me is that instead of being an extremely evil villain, Bill was actually pretty cool. Although I wish the swordfight had been more awesome, the ultimate Hattori Hanzo sword vs. Hattori Hanzo swordfight, but everything came together nicely. I just wish they'd used better footage of Budd during the credits, but once again, I'm still biased because Mr. Blonde owned. -------------------- Blood & Fire |

Regarding the fate of Elle:
Possible spoilers: highlight to view It's not clear whether or not she is alive. I would personally think sooner or later in her thrashing about she would have stumbled upon the black mamba that was still in the trailer, or vice versa. PB78 |

I saw Kill Bill vl 1 at 7:30 AM on April 16th and Kill Bill vl 2 at 9:50 PM on April 16th, that was one awsome day ( I also saw punisher) Anyways, I liked them both the same amount but for different reasons. I liked the first one because the fight scenes were awsome (Crazy 88) and I liked the second one because it told an excellent story.
As for what happened to Elle, I would imagine she either bled to death or got bitten by the black mamba. Regardless it was totally cool. Possible spoilers: highlight to view Especially when Beatrix stepped on the eyeball ![]() -------------------- <Nealio> Seymour sounds like evil Winnie the Pooh |

Edit Webgraphics, I stand corrected. Possible spoilers: highlight to view I really liked volume 2, personally. I thought volume 1 was a little better, but the scene with Elle was probably my favorite scene throughout the two volumes. I thought the way the movie ended was pretty cool, but I was definitely expecting more of a swordfight than just a five second "duel" to settle unfinished business. No, I really appreciate all the spoiler tags. I clicked on the link just to see if you guys liked it. I did not want the story ploiled in any way.

I just saw Kill Bill volume 2.
Possible spoilers: highlight to view The "sword fight" at the end is crap. I wanted it to last for ages, Beatrix finally proving she -can- Kill Bill. Instead she just strokes his chest for a second, and he's like, "You have beaten me, but I love you really." And then even though she just killed him, they're all lovey dovey, touchey touchey. It's a bit slow, but I don't mind that. When Elle gets her eye plucked out...that is frickin cool. It was hilarious to see her just thrashing around, falling into walls, flailing her arms trying to find Beatrix, going, "You...bitch! I'm gonna...kill you!" -bump- -scream- "Bitch!". -smash- -bleed- -stands on black mamba- "SHIT!" -dies- Then Beatrix stands on the eye, and it squishes between her toes.... ![]() -------------------- "Luck is my middle name. I've seen Vol. 1, and I thought it was great. Would I like Vol. 2 as much as I like Vol. 1?

I liked Volume 2 in terms of story, Volume 1 in terms of action. And I get to say I saw the only U.S. pre-screening of Kill Bill Vol. 2 (shown right after Vol. 1).
![]() ![]() Enough of my gloating. Possible spoilers: highlight to view Pai Mei was absolutely hilarious. The kickass martial art moves that he pulled off while giving Beatrix a "lesson" was... wow. I wanna be Pai Mei... Eh, I, too, wish there was more of a fight between Beatrix and Bill. I think Pai Mei and Bill pulled off a rather nice performance. Best one-liner I can think of at the top of my head: "Umm... did you think that I... uhh... overreacted?" ![]() If you haven't seen it, go watch! |
