U see, if u were the type that actually played FF6 on the original game pak on an SNES when it was released, you'd actually be relatively old-at least around 26, considering that the english version was released in 1996.

Not true... I played FFVI (the SNES cartridge released Final Fantasy III) right when it came out. My grandma, who was like ... the coolest person ever, was also big on Final Fantasy so she bought it when it was released. So, yes that would make me 10 when I played it for SNES. I still have the original FF3 SNES cart as well as the FF3 rom and the FF6j rom...

I still own FF II and FF III (US), bought by my father in Canada while he was on a trip back there for work in 1995, but at that time, I had already played FF III with my best friend cartridge. The SNES is still up and running in my parents' bedroom, and everyone except my father plays it occasionally (my mom plays mostly Super Mario, but still).
I then played a little time on the computer, but I found out it gives away a very different feeling than playing on a console (major downside would be the constant humming from the computer, but also the possibility offered by every emulators to save anytime you want : it takes away some fun, IMO).
Of course, when the PSX realeased got out, I couldn't passed on it, so I own it as well.

Basically, I first played it when I was around 14. The OST is also the very first CD I owned...ahh, good ol' days.

Now don't wake me up again, or I'm gonna get cranky, boy. mad.gif

22. I first played FF3 when I was a sophomore in high school, so about 15 years old, sometime in 1998.

I'm 18 and I'm still going. I'll be graduating from High School in May. I'm looking forward to finally get out of High School and go to college. If nobody does check my profile I turn 19 on September 11. Yes, I've heard the comments about my birthday being on one of the worst days in US History. But anywho, that is how old I am and I'm still going like the energizer bunny!

I'm 18 also, but I'm already in college. My birthday is August 19th.

Also, I got the original FF3 US cartrige within a year of it coming out. It was the first real game I ever played (aside from the original Mario Bros.). To suggest that you would have to be at least 26 to have played it when it came out is ridiculous. I was young, yes. I wasn't nearly as hardcore about it as I am now , true. But I still played it. Still own the original cartridge, in fact. So ha.

Edit
Also, who the heck would be older than 45 and still going to an online chat forum about a Super Nintendo game? That's just insane.

Actually, I'm asking this because I'm wondering how you guys play FF. U see, if u were the type that actually played FF6 on the original game pak on an SNES when it was released, you'd actually be relatively old-at least around 26, considering that the english version was released in 1996.

Bah... I played Final Fantasy for Nintendo back when I was 5 (or around then, not sure exactly when it came out, but I remember reading the Nintendo Power article on it too.) I had problems getting further then the Elf Kingdom, but I played it back then, and I always loved to watch my brother play then.

I was playing both FF4 and FF6 when they first came out too.

I'm 21, been playing video games since I was 4. I first played Final Fantasy back in grade school, I can't remember exactly what year tho. I have most of the FF games, but I tend to play them on my computer, it just seems easier than digging out all the old equipment, ya know? Besides, after finishing these games a few times it's nice to apply hack and get a lil different game.

I'm 20!

I remember back in the days when FF6 came out. I think it cost 69.99 at Toys R' Us. No joke.

So I ended up not playing it until sophomore year in high school when I learned about ROMs and emulators. laugh.gif

I'm 13 and won't be 14 until June 27 with my twin bro, @ss@ssin. That makes me the youngest in the forums perhaps? Oh yeah, Sasuke, are you on the World of Warcraft beta? Your name looks familiar from one of the forums...

I voted 16-25 cus I'm 17...I'll be 18 on June 19th.Unfortunately I won't really get anything out of being 18 cus I don't smoke and I don't watch porn, and I don't have to be 18 to buy any movies or games that are Adult Only Rated because I live in Texas and here you are a legal adult at 17.
