Quote What can I do with this Bone Club in my inventory? Not much, really. Umaro already comes equipped with one, so you can't put it on him. Nobody else can use it. About all you can do is sell it for a good amount of Gil or bet it at the Colosseum for a Red Jacket. If you do not have a Bone Club in your inventory when you first get Umaro he will not be equipped with the Bone Club (he will just have nothing). If you do have it in your inventory, one of them will be taken away and given to Umaro. I'm about 95% sure about this. -------------------- ''The modern dictators are reviving a very ancient and encrusted way of life.'' [WHAT I THINK, Adlai Stevenson] |

Wrong. Bone Club/Snow Muffler are Umaro's default equipment. He's no different than anyone else in this respect.

Well coming as it is from you, I will assume I'm wrong.
Is there any (natural) circumstance where Umaro can have the Bone Club uneqipped? Because for some reason I remember him punching ennemies and being ticked off about it. -------------------- ''The modern dictators are reviving a very ancient and encrusted way of life.'' Is there still thought to be an error in the FAQ answer, or should I move this out to the FF6 forum?

If master zed says I'm wrong, I'm most probably wrong. I'll still test it next time through, but I think you can delete this now since there is no error... I don't think.

Master ZED is correct. I have never had a Bone Club when I got Umaro and he has always had one equipped when he joined. And there is no way to unequip him. The guy in the airship that unequips everyone can't even unequip him. And, in the FF3 ROM editor that I have, he has one equipped as his starting equipment.
So, I don't know where or how you saw him punching, because he always has a Bone Club. As far as the usefulness of having a Bone Club, I always figured it was just so that you could have everything. It's like having Save the Queen in Final Fantasy 9. No one but Beatrix can equip it, and she already has it equipped anyway, and you can't unequip her of it whenever you have her on your team. -------------------- --sbq92 <>< |
