Now after Kefka took over the world it seemed as though all the Troopers dissapeared except for 1. But firstly-Why? where did they go? Secondly I wonder why he didn't restart his own army? I know he didn't NEED it but still. He could have ruled the world with an iron fist. Force the people to rebuild just for the fun of destroying it. I know even if i were a god like figure i would still want an army to Make my wrath more felt. Even if I were trying to destroy Everything it would still be cool to have people worshipping me under fear of iminant death. Plus if you ever got tweaked off you could just fry an entire encampment for the hell of it. What do you think? thumbup.gif

Seems like some healthy paranoia to me (or at least as close to mental health as Kefka can come). After all, he backstabbed the master that he used to serve, so why wouldn't someone else do the same to him?

Then again, maybe he does have an army. Maybe he bankrolls all those monsters roaming around his tower.

I think they just all went home (Except the ones in Vector). With no Empire left to serve, would you just hang around in uniform?

To an extent, who's to say Pandy aint right? I mean, he absorbed pretty much all the power of the goddesses. I always figured on the creatues in the world 'o ruin being creatures of the bygone era when the three ladies were at the top of their game. Goin on that, it's logical to assume that there's some form of influence on some level or another. Prolly all depends on how much magic the monsters use, since Kefka absorbed the powers of the deities responcible for it.

Aside from that, there's the cult of Kefka in their lil tower. All them folks ya fight there are the uberest of the magic users.

Other than that, there really is no reason to have a standing army. If he ever get's tweaked, he can fry a village just as easily as some encampment and I really don't know any better way to have your wrath felt than a light of destruction up the butt.

The question is, however, how would WANT to join the army of such a deranged madman? When it comes to the humans, I know that some would, but that's like only the small minority that marches around Kefka's tower after being brainwashed.

I agree with what Pandy says-the monsters all aroud are his army. Humans? Pah. Idiots who cling for a nonexistant hope will never be of use to me! Let them be the hapless victims of my wrath, always trying, always failing...ahhh...sweet is the seranade of coutless tortured voices crying in unison!!!

Yep, I can imagine him saying that right now...

There is one Imperial Trooper left, at the Collosseum. You speak to him and he says something like, "I'm an Imperial Trooper! The last one, probably."

Most of the troopers are dead as are most of the returners. The world was torn apart and alot of people died. Vector isn't even on the map anymore so one can assume it didn't go so well for anyone who happened to be there.

I always kinda thought that the base of Vector became part of Kefka's tower. Ex: Atma in the bathroom, and some of the same hallways from Vector. Anyway, I always assumed that the majority of the Army in Vector was killed, and that the remainerds packed up and went home. The guy in the Collosseum stayed a soldier just becasue he wanted to say "I'm the last one!" I also agree with Panda, he bankrolls the mosters and deposits the money in their Swiss Accounts thumbup.gif

Where did they go? They probably went home, and those who survived the "Day of Kefka" probably are still there, or at what was left of their home.

Why doesn't he have an army anymore? If you were an uber-powerful god of magic (not considering the fact that the game makes his magic power and HP pretty low for a final boss) and you had an evil light beam that could destroy stuff and all you liked to do was to kill stuff dead, why would you need an army? Why not do it yourself, and be guaranteed of the results?

How much money do you think Kefka has? He has no subjects to tax, just a bunch of neighbors he blows to smithereens. How could he sustain an army with no money?
Destroying an encampent twice would be kind of redundant and boring after a while.
Kefka didn't really care about having followers or worshippers. He had a cult off in some corner, but I don't remember seeing any indication that he had anything to do with its founding.

DP: That reminds me. Kefka didn't seem to have much enthusiasm about that that Fanatics' Tower cult/thing anyways, so why would he even want an army? He could have used his cult as a powerful magical army if he needed to, and he didn't even bother.

I don't think Kekfa cares for anything but himself and his pleasure in destruction. I think he'd destroy the Fanatics tower and his followers without thinking any more than destroying a rogue castle like Figaro. Monsters do create havoc which Kefka enjoys, but monsters are a common fact of any Final Fantasy world, they're always gonna be there, so I doubt he's breading them.

Why would Kefka pay them at all? His payment would probably be like "Fight for me and I wont vaporize you and your whole family".

Once again, why would he even bother to say fight for me? He doesn't need the help of any army.

«I will create a monument to non-existence» I think that's why he didn't care about creating an army.

I'm not saying he would need, or even want, an army, I'm just saying that if he did want one thats probably what he'd do.
