I like bands that really have differing music, from Black Sabbath to the Mamas and the Papas. I won't explain why, I'll just list my favs.:
The Beatles The Mamas and the Papas Queen Ozzy/Black Sabbath Jefferson Airplane/Starship Nirvana The Doors KISS Some bands I don't like as much, but are still OK to listen to: (yeah, most of the modern stuff...) Weezer Sublime Blink 182 Jimmy Eat World -------------------- SPEKKIO: "GRRR...That was most embarrassing!" |

I would have to say my favorite band would have to be one of the following: Linkin' Park, Sister Hazel, or the Blues Brothers Band (I know that they were only put together for a movie, but they're awesome).

Weezer Blink 182 Jimmy Eat World Man, I was excited until I reread and you said "the modern stuff". Did you mean the most recent albums for all bands, i.e Green/Maladroit, Take off your Pants/Enema of the State/Self-Titled and Bleed American? Because if so, then you were so close to having some of the best bands of all time. And your other choices don't make you out to be a fan of pop-punk... |

Sublime - the greatest non-mainstream band to ever come along, in my opinion.
Ben Folds Five - another great non-mainstream band, that sadly is not together anymore. But Ben Folds is still out there making good music although it'll never be the same without Rob and Darren. Dave Matthews Band - Is there any othere band that can do the things that this band can do? I don't think so. They have a song for every occasion, it's awesome. Incubus - Just a great band, although I don't know if I like their latest album. They got a new bassist and I didn't think it was that big of a deal, but I actually noticed. ::::sigh:::: oh well. Rage Against the Machine - I dreaded the day that Zach left the band, and it crushed me even more to see what they had become as Audioslave. It's just not the same. That's about it, in that order are my favorite bands. -------------------- Jeez, another signature...i can't do this anymore, just kill me already! |

I like anything and everything that can produce good music. I don't pay attention to the people who sing the songs THAT much, though. I find songs with a good melody my cup o' tea. I don't really care about the lyrics THAT much either. The songs that I choose and like seem to gravitate towards the "old country" and the "yesterday's hits" genre. Some favourites include people like James, Ingram, the Beatles, Elvis Presley, among others.
Things I hate, however, include the following: -ANY and ALL heavy metal "songs". -Songs that have bad words all over the place. Hohoho....Just find those songs absolutely unbearable!!! -------------------- Student of CCS, Grandmaster of Alternative Literature and Musical Passionista at your service!!! |

All this is in absolutely NO order, just whatever comes to mind first.
Metal: Nightwish, Iced Earth, Symphony X, Rhapsody, Tool, AFI, Foo Fighters. Old Stuff: The Cure, Simon & Garfunkel. Classical: Antonin Dvorak, Mozart, Pachobel('s Canon). Other stuff: A lotta remixed video game music, so there aren't really bands, just remixers -------------------- "It is a part of human nature to be evil, and it is a part of human nature to destroy evil, therefore, when evil is destroyed, so will be the human race..." - Atma |

Here's what I like listening to:
![]() Adult contemporary: Celine Dion <-- amazing voice Josh Groban <-- just like Celine Lee Ann Womack Shania Twain <-- even though she's a country singer, a lot of her songs end up in adult contemporary radio stations. LeAnn Rimes <-- same reason as w/ Shania Twain pretty much any 80's/early 90's songs Cpop (Chinese Pop): Jay Chou Wang Lee Hom CoCo Lee <-- she's the one that sings the theme for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon Kpop (Korean Pop): Group S ShinHwa BoA SES Jrock (Japanese Rock): Do As Infinity Utada Hikaru Ayumi Hamasaki Shitomi <-- I think that's her name. Her songs have a Latin flavor to it. What do you guys like listening to?
