Just a quick post to confirm exactly when FFVI's official 10th birthday is?

The release of the game in the US was October 1994, so we've got a ways to go. I'm not sure when it was released in Japan, and that's definitely likely to be much closer to today.

According to G'FAQs, it's April 2nd for Japan, but no date for the US. I kinda wanted an exact date too.

The only drink I can think that was mentioned in the game was the Cider the old man in South Figaro always drank and Locke had to steal to get into the mansion. Of course I believe it was some good ole hard cider.

If you're looking for something to drink to celebrate, I know this isn't from the Caves of Narshe, but how about this: a Merton Dew?
On another FFVI board that I occasionally post on--the Moogle Cafe (pub69.ezboard.com/bthemooglecafe), one of the top admins is named Merton Dew (his title is obviously "Carbonated Beverage"), and it's customary to welcome new members by saying "Welcome to the Moogle Cafe! Be sure to equip a fire shield, and enjoy an ice cold Merton Dew." (Which is, of course, where I got the idea of a traditional welcome message for CoN.)
