Alright. Whats the deal with this guy? where does he fit in. A wolf pickpocket guy . I sort of wish i knew what happened to him. What are your thoughts on lone wolf. The game had a whole lot of unsolved plots and sub plots. this is one of them. Where does he go?

He's a cameo from FFV.

I did play FfV and if you want to get technical gogo is too. But I think he belongs to the plot more than a cameo. When the guard in the jail says" iknow someone who belongs in here "is he refering to him?if he was a cameo then how come some of the other espers looked like hiim? Was lone wolf an esper maybe?

The Duncan and Banon spritie look alike, are they twins, related? No. They could not of been bothered to create a unique sprite for each and everything. He is not and Esper. The only thing Lone Wolf bring to the plot if Mog and the Gold Hairpin. And as for the jailer, I always considered he has talking about Kefka.

I think Lone Wolf could be a half-esper...when one of the old espers was banished down to the mortal realm he courted a human like Maduin did, and Wolfie is the outcome. But probably not.
He could just be the last of a dying race, and it's a shame they're not included in the plot more. Or maybe he's the result of an experiment, and they shoved a wolf head on him and filled him with admantanium so whenever he's angry these long metal claws come out of his fists. ![]() -------------------- "Luck is my middle name. Possible spoilers: highlight to view He died if you chose mog over the golden hairpin and now i have raised a question of my own that fits on this topic... if you do choose the lone wolf does he play a part of the story farther in the game i always save mog so i don't know -------------------- ~ A Hero Is Someone Who Stands When Their Legs Are Gone~ |

He really doesn't DO anything save the Mog-Golden hairpin scene. But otherwise how would they have made you choose between Mog and a hair accesory?

He does not die if you choose mog. Later on in Narshe when you enter the front door hes like"Only one moogle is left in the mines and only a treasure hunter could picck that lock"

I think Lone Wolf, Ultros, and Siegfried are all key figures in an elaborate plot to keep us from discovering Gogo's true identity. Seriously though, I don't think there's anymore to him than there is to Siegfried; he's just another of FF6's enigmas(count Chupon here too). Perhaps something got lost in the game's translation, but in all likelihood the developers wanted it the way it turned out. Kind of gives the game a unique style. Course, that doesn't make it any less maddening!

Lone wolf is *NOT* a character from FF5. There are wolfmen in FF5, and even one of the "Warriors of Dawn" is a wolfman. But there is no pick-pocket wolfman character in FF5.
The only relation he has to FF5 is he looks exactly the same as what the wolfmen looked in FF5. -------------------- ''The modern dictators are reviving a very ancient and encrusted way of life.'' [WHAT I THINK, Adlai Stevenson] |

What Neal said--that Lone Wolf can be found in the one of the castles' basement (Karnak's?) locked up in prison. You can choose to release him if you talk to him, although I'm not sure what the significance is.
Also, Lone Wolf FFV is indeed one of the wolf-men, you'll find out, and you'll also find out why he was there if you played the game far enough. But FFVI doesn't have wolf-men. So does that mean FFVI Lone Wolf is... 1. an infamous pickpocket in a wolf mask? 2. an esper or another part-esper (since his sprite matches with/is a palette swap of some espers' sprites) 3. nothing more than an easter egg whose only purpose is to get Mog and Ragnarok into the story? -------------------- Check the "What games are you playing at the moment?" thread for updates on what I've been playing. In FF5 if you let Lone Wolf out, you will find an empty treasure chest with a note that thanks you for releasing him, signed, Lone Wolf. But the treasure that is in the chest was pretty good, so i suggest keeping him locked up.
