Well I just beat Angra Mainyu, an optional boss in FFX-2, 333444 HP, 9999 MP, and he was REALLY HARD! I manage to beat him after 2 and 1/2 hours, my levels were Yuna: Lv. 58, Rikku Lv. 60, and Paine Lv. 60. My suggeteion for the boss is all chars. Lv. 80 + over 9000 HP, Stanima Tonics 4 Dbl. HP, the Alchemist and Dark Knight DSPs, Have either Mega Potion Ability 4 Alchemist or 99 Potions and Hi Potions to mix them into Mega Potions every turn or 99 Mega-Potions and Mix them to Make Ultra Potion to heal 100%. Have the 2 Dark Knights do Darkness every turn and the alchemist should do what I just said: Have either Mega Potion Ability 4 Alchemist or 99 Potions and Hi Potions to mix them into Mega Potions every turn or 99 Mega-Potions and Mix them to Make Ultra Potion to heal 100%.
Even at high levels this boos could take a long time. Oh and there is a boss with higher Hp, I havent fought him yet and he is : Trema 999,999 HP, in Via Infinto. |

I assume that you fought Angra without the Cat Nip/Trigger Happy combo then, in which case my hat goes off to you (and wish you the best of luck on Trema). You're a much more patient person than I am (which is very likely, given what I'm like).

As 4 Trema, I wont fight him until all my characters are lv. 90+. I am only on cloister 16 on Via Infinito anyways. |

Yes, Trema is hard, so hard I couldn't even get to him, and I had beaten Angra Mainyu about 15 levels beforehand.
It looks like everybody tends to independently invent the Stash Mega potion and Darkness method... including me. ![]() -------------------- Get me off this Disciplinary Committee so I can play any FF except for FF8!!! |

The Cat Nip is found some 40 levels (is that right?) below Bevelle in the Via Infinito dungeon, and you receive it for defeating the boss there. It's an accessory that grants the wearer the ability to do 9999 points of damage with every single hit of any kind, provided that character is in critical condition health-wise.
Hence the Cat Nip/Trigger Happy combo. If you can keep a gunner in critical health, you can perform Trigger Happy and inflict 9999 points of damage every time you mash the R1 button. PB78 |

Quote (Chille @ 3rd April 2004 19:08) man if hes the hardest boss i have nothing else to do Angra Mainyu is not the hardest boss as I previously said Chille, so please read the posts before adding your two Gil. Catnip also does a heck of a lot of good to your stats, even if you're not at Critical. -------------------- Get me off this Disciplinary Committee so I can play any FF except for FF8!!! |

Quote Catnip also does a heck of a lot of good to your stats, even if you're not at Critical. Does it really? I didn't realize that. I always thought I had to get the Iron Duke tp have an accessory that jacked up all of your stats. I don't pay attention sometimes, though. PB78 |

If you're fortunate and your gunner(s) doesn't/don't get killed often, three or four barrages from a hasted Cat Nip gunner should be more than enough. That seems fairly easily done in ten minutes.
