I bought Final Fantasy Tactics Advance last week and ive barely been able to put it down!!I love this game. The only drawback so far is the lack of plot.If anyone else has the game, please let me know how you feel about it

Though i only downloaded it, (Mind you it took two freakin weeks to find in english) I must compliment Sqauresoft on this game. I liked the way the battle system still resembled FFT original. The only thing i hate was.... thos laws! i cant stand those things! 3 of my ppl got thrown in the slammer for them.

Not to shoot you guys down but i think it is an afront to the real FFT there is no plot, the judge thing is stupid. The new idea for JP is even worse. The jobs were cool, and the clan ideas were cool other than that i really did not like the game. Personally i am insulted taht they ruin the good FFT name with that. No offense to you guys or anything.

no offense taken, and i agree, the jp aquiring now is idiotic, it takes forever. I even have some of the rule breaking cards but whats the point when they use rules that i cant break? (speaking of which, annoying the judges with these cards is funny, even when they do nothing) if anyone has already beaten this game, then tell me, is there ever a time when theres not a judge?

I've played very little and got pretty annoyed with how slow the game is, among how there are no 100% chances of hit, even when you're behind someone. FFT > FFTA anyday.

maybe im the only one whos noticed this, but doesnt it look like when u go to hit someone it displays damage, in the lower left corner, then damage is different when u actually hit the thing? example: damage is displayed as -50 hp of target, but when i hit they thing it only does about 47 damage, not much of a difference, but when the target has lots of hp every little bit helps.

I am seriously hoping the game creators will create a new FFT sequel for a console system or even a better one for GBA. They seriously need to redeem themselves. FFTA is an insult to the true FFT.

FFTA has been a great disapointment to me.
At first though, I was really excited : very nice graphics, and the race+job system seemed really promising. I found the judge system to be somewhat fun, as it forced me to find different strategies. And then, it started to get bad : the plot is, well, there isn't any. And the mission system, joined with the fact that there was no map, made it so I started too feel like there was nothing to do (except building myself a map...yay!) Sometimes, there are RPGs where you have to do something, and you can't do anything else : you're just guided into the story, and you can't do anything about it. Well, the other opposite is just as annoying to me : I like to have some guidance. There wasn't in FFTA, so I didn't feel connected to the story... So I stopped playing, after 14 hours, and virtually nothing accomplished, and I pretty sure I won't be playing it more. |

Seriously though in this whole board section I was looking around and nobody has a topic about FFTA. I mean if it was bad there would be post about that, if it was good there would be post about that, if it was allright there would be post about it for Mohameds sake. There is only one explanation for this and that is that it is a closet pleasure. Like another very controversial subject that I'm not gona say becuase I know it will increase my warning. I mean maybe since its kind of kiddie you sophisticated older, pipe smoking video game players scoff at the idea of even acknowledging its prescence. But then once they get to the clost its Go Ritz! Wooohoooooo! Yeah Shara! Woot woot Die Mewt you fiendish fiend of all fiends who are fiendish... but yet no fiendish *New Tom Hanks movie looks rather good... but yet not good HAHAAHAHA enough with the puns already*. Anyways I was just wondng what some people thought about it and stuff like that. So its time to come out of the closet people.
Oh and squenix is sqaursoft and who else again. I dont remember anymore at all... Enix. The clue is in the name.
Couldn't find any more FFTA topics, eh? Perfect Clan Member (FFTA) Final Fantasy Tactics Advance Tactics Advance Commercial Plus the topic I've merged your topic with. Granted, most of these topics are pretty old, but if you're going to claim noone else made a topic about it, you could at least search properly. |

I think FFTA is an awesome game. Right now I have completed 225 missions on File 1. On file 2 have completed 40-45 missions. Great Game. I may try the PS1 version and hope it is good

I think FFTA is okay (not superb, but also not FFMQ level). I've been mostly playing it lately when I'm working at the Art Gallery (lots and lots of time to waste). If you compare it to all the other FFs, sure, it isn't going to measure up. I just been playing it, and not really focusing on the fact that it's supposed to be a FF. We all have high expectations of what a FF should be. It's a good diversion, a bit of a change of pace from the normal FF. I like to think of strategies (law cards, classes, etc) and ways to get around things. This game I think makes me think a bit more than some of the previous FFs where strategy was almost a non issue (hit the monster with a sword till it's dead type thing). Anyways, I find it an okay game.

I had a hard time really enjoying FFTA, but I suspect the problem is that I'd played FFT already. If I played FFTA and then FFT, I'd probably like both games (and herald FFT as a better version of FFTA).
