Well basically I was bored, and a bit curious about ghosts so I figured why not make a thread about it. Feel free to share whatever you may have about ghosts here, be it a story, a myth, or a personal experience. I don't have any personal experience with ghosts myself, aside from occasionally seeing shadow people in the corners of my eyes and hearing things. Like once, I was in a sound sleep and I woke up to what sounded like a little girl screaming in my ear it woke me up of course, and as I glanced around my room, I could have sworn something was watching me, but I came up without a result, and since I was tired, I paid it no mind, simply returning to my sound sleep.
Well, I can't wait to see other peoples experiences or storys happy.gif

Well, never experience anythign myself, but theres a few ghostly tales in the area wehre i am, mainly at Clippens house. The legend is, the first owen of the hosue tricked the devil into filling a hat with gold, but the hat was over a chimey, and it filled the room below. The man took a clipping of the devils tail (hence the name).

During the cold war, it was used by the British army in relation to nuclear defence. Many of the officers sationed there reported ghostly goings on: files moving around on their own , a few sightings of ghosts, and unsual noises.

Since then, its been converetd into flats, and i dont know if theres been any reports latley. but theres been some sightings of a white lady, and reports of the moving objects.

Well, the original frame of my house has been here since the Civil War. I live out in the used-to-but-not-as-much-in-recent-years hick town of Genoa City, Wisconsin. For one, I live right across from a cemetary (i never really take any notice). Well, we used to always hear weird stuff. Such as, we'd be all watching the TV in the Living Room and we'd hear the basement door slam, followed by the slow pounding of 5 steps. Then no one would be at the door, and it'd be like nothing happened. The thing is, our basement steps (wooden now) used to be much wider, larger, strone steps. 5 of them. There was other stuff too.

Ever since we added on 5 years ago these things stopped happening but i dunno. Weird. I don't know the believability of it, as I look at things now, it just sounds foolish. I had myself convinced my house was hauned 5 years ago though.

The clouds ran away, opened up the sky
And one by one I watched every constellation die
And there I was frozen, standing in my backyard
Face to face, eye to eye, staring at the last star
I should've known, walked all the way home
To find that she wasn't here, I'm still all alone

A few months ago my virlfriend and I were sleeping in our room at our apartment. Weahave our alarm clock set a 6 amuand never change it, because she works un early shift. Well one morning the alarm clock goes off at 4:24am, there is no reason why we would set it for this time. No big deal, I turn it off and start to drift back to sleep. A couple of minutes later the cable kicks on in our room...we did not have cable TV at the time and the TV had been left on from a movie we were watching the previous night. That was a bit odd, but I turned it off and started drifting back to sleep. Then the alarm clock goes off again 4:37am. WTF?! I get up and turn it off again, my girlfriend sleeping through this whole thing. I laid back in bed and then my ceiling fan turns on. I am totally creeped out now. What the hell is going on? Nothing else happened, and nothing similar has happened since. Don't know if it was a ghost, weird electrical field, or whatever...but that freaked me out for a good week.

Hmm... well, something creepy happened to a friend of mine. He might have been pulling my leg, but maybe not.

His bedroom faces his gravel road/driveway, which, if you keep going, goes to his neighbor's house. He was up around 5 am, and looked out his window. And, quite creepily, there was a shrouded figure walking along the gravel road. And, as he was watching it, the figure stopped, and sloooooowly turned his head towards the window where my friend was looking out of. ohmy.gif He just turned his head back to the front and kept on going. Creepy.

At my school's auditorium, there's a ghost named Mikey who mostly hangs out in the catwalk, but if it's a good show that night, he'll come down and join you in the audience. I know this because durring the production of Romeo and Juliet, one of my friends was out in an empty section of the seats, and somebody kept pulling her hair, and tapping her on the shoulder. When she turned around to tell whoever it was to stop, there was nobody there. She got freaked and ran backstage and sat down in a corner, but the same stuff kept happening. she got up and asked one of the veteran theater people and he told her it was just Mikey, and that mikey is an ass sometimes, but he never does anything bad. To add to that, after he called Mikey and ass, Mikey smakced him on the face. I saw that part personally, and it made a believer outta me. So here's to Mikey, the auditorium ghost.

Well at the library sometimes the security gate beeps all by itself so we have a ghost patron. smile.gif

Also my grandma swears she sees ghosts at night sometimes when she's in bed. I respect her and she's very cool but she is nearly 85 years old and is on quite a bit of medication so I dunno... blink.gif

once me an my cousins were sitting around at a family reunion and my cousin chris was telling us about this old abandoned building that used to be a looney bin. The only way to get there was hike 1 and a half miles off the highway, but we were bored so we decided to go. when we got there we were exploring and we went through a kitchen. About 10 sec after we left the kitchen we heard glass breaking. we went back in and the floor was absolutely coverd in broken dishes. I don't recall there being dishes in the kitchen, but even if there were, how did they get on the floor?

Another cool thing is, my mother grew up about 5 min away from where the amityville horror took place. For those of you that don't know, it was a horror movie that was based on a true story of a boy that hacked his family to pieces.
