You made really broad sections, there. I would have done it in 5 year segments, myself, but don't worry about it.

Yeah almost everyone here is 16-25 except for a few younglings. My birthday is August 21st and I'm 21. When considering the release dates of the SNES FFs, it's easy to understand why there are quite a few working college students or people just plain old working here. I mean if you're 14 years old now then FF6 came out when you were like 5 years old man. I believe the SNES FFs were targetted for the age 10-16 group... something like that. But anyway you're not that young harry. There are actually quite a few high school teens on here... in fact they may even make up half of the membership here or more. But we alls be one heppinin' family in here so it's all good.
Oh by the way I've been working since the age of 15, so it's ok for you to get a job now and roll in the big cash. Then buy yourself a house in a few years. ![]() This post has been edited by i90east on 11th March 2004 04:12 -------------------- FFXI (Siren server) Tauu the Windurstian Tarutaru! Well happy birthday MogMaster.
Im 17. And the age difference isnt really much of a factor, wich I have noticed. People here get along with everyone, its difficult to pin point someones age. But sometimes its noticible.... -------------------- Yeah, I barely post. |

See, more people need to use the bloody forum calendar. If you put your birthday in your "My Controls" section, it will show your birthday on the calendar as well as how old you will be. It's pretty keen.
And, as you can see on the calendar, I will turn 24 on the 29th of this month. Aren't I informative? Edit And I don't know anyone who is 26-35 who is active here. I would like to know who it is or who made up their age for the poll. ![]() This post has been edited by Rangers51 on 11th March 2004 16:22 -------------------- "To create something great, you need the means to make a lot of really bad crap." - Kevin Kelly Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN? |

Actually, I'm asking this because I'm wondering how you guys play FF. U see, if u were the type that actually played FF6 on the original game pak on an SNES when it was released, you'd actually be relatively old-at least around 26, considering that the english version was released in 1996.
So, people, tell me. Are you like me, playing the game ripped off from the net and on an emulator, or you playing it directly on the SNES? BTW: MogMaster, actually it's you that prompted me 2 ask dis qn. In one of yer posts you said you were dead beat after a day of work. Does that mean you're already earning your own keep? But come 2 thik of it I'm not even sure if you were the one that said it...apologies if I got it wrong. -------------------- Student of CCS, Grandmaster of Alternative Literature and Musical Passionista at your service!!! |

For years after release, it was still possible to rent or buy the cartridges. When I was 15, I could rent FF6, and I bought FF6 from a second hand game store in a city an hour from where I lived. That was when I was 15, so 7 years ago. I had borrowed FF4 from a friend that owned it, though I think it had been her older brother who had bought it a few years before.
I still have a few SNES cartridges, tucked safely in a drawer in my room in my parent's house. There's an SNES there, too. -------------------- I had an old signature. Now I've changed it. |

"At least 26" seems an odd suggestion. That would've made you 18 in 1996; even so, FF3us was released in 1994, so that date has little bearing. If it'd got a UK release back then, I might well have played it at that time, and I'm only 21 now; plus, I know several people younger than me who certainly did own the actual cartridge.
But yes, to answer your question (though I'm not sure why you didn't just ask it in the topic rather than approaching it from a purely age related angle): I have only played it via emulation, and briefly on a PlayStation belonging to someone I once met. Don't forget that the PS1 release means a whole raft of younger people have access to the game even without a SNES or means of finding an FF3us cartridge and, as Elena99 said, it would certainly have been possible to pick up the older SNES FF3us in shops some time after its release. |
