Quote (GamblingCat @ 5th March 2004 17:53) FFMQ is a cheap piece of BS. I think Square made it for money and Profits! ... They make all games for money. While not as sophistacted plot-wise or complex engine-wise as the rest of the FF bunch, I found MQ to be an enjoyable addition to the series. I mean, come on, it WAS meant to be a beginner's RPG... don't get too mad at it for being basic at best.
In my youth, though, I found it to be very enjoyable and I'm sure it hooked many children onto Squaresoft RPGs that would not have looked into the company otherwise. -------------------- Je ne t'aime plus, Mon amour... Je ne t'aime plus, Tous les jours... |

I liked mystic quest. I first played it when I was 3. What can I say it got me hooked into trying IV, and thenIII. And now i love all ff games. If it were any more hard at the time i wouldn't be able to play and enjoy it. But I also agree that the best definet starter rpg is super mario rpg. It is easy the story line picks up quickly and gives you a true feeling of rpg's.
