OK, one quick question. When you're modifying sprites, is it possible to edit the "wounded" sprite of a character?

Example: I give Locke brown hair. Locke's hair remains brown unless he is killed in battle, at which it turns blonde. When he is revived, it is brown again. Is there any way to modify the "killed" sprite?

Hmm, it appears that you can't with Terii's editor, but you can with Lord J's. I changed Gau's hair to green, so yes you can do it. Good idea btw. smile.gif

Ok after loading the rom you'll see this (if you're using WinXP then the full sprites on the bottom won't appear, I just refreshed the window to show them). The top-left part is just like paintbrush. See all those sprite pieces in the top-right selection box? Select each one with hair pixels which is most of them. You'll be able to see which pixels are hair pixels because they're different colors than the rest of the pixels. Now just select the color you want to use and click on each pixel you want to change in the top-left box.

Just save the changes and they will immediately take affect next time you run the rom. If this doesn't answer your question please be more descriptive as to what the problem is.

Ok, I understand that, but the problem is when I load the ROM, it doesn't upload the sprites. Is it because I'm using Windows XP or what?

Are there any sprite editors for Mac OS X? I would love to play a bit with the sprites in my FF6 ROM, but unfortunately I have not been able to find any that run on my operating system.

Does anyone know of any Macintosh-compatible Sprite Editors?
