I have a couple of questions first of all i am the most unlucky person in video game historyin any game.

My problem in Tactics is two fold

1. I have blade grasp on some character and the chace of getting hit is 5% and they hit me?! and when i try to hit the i have like 95% chance of hitting and i miss

2. This hitting problem carries over to my other problem item finding. I am in deep dungeon andi am trying to get all the sweet stuff i know that you have to lower people's brave so i got my female priest 64 brave had Beowulf cast Chicken on her and it succeeded she had 14 brave i checked. So i try the first item i was suppose to get an elixir i get a phoneix down then i try the next item i get another pheonix down in a fit of rage i turn of my ps2. I had an idea that maybe because the enemies and beowulf set off all of the traps which the items are on.

Please help me cause i dont want to break my ps2...

1. If you want Blade Grasp to be the most efficient possible, you must raise your Brave to 100 (Scream, Cheer Up, Brave Up...). This, way, opponents will have 0% of hitting you with most attacks (some attack are not affected at all by Blade Grasp, like Cat Kick, Dash, Choco Meteor...you'll still gonna get hit by those, but there's no way against it). With some monsters, this technique is so efficient that they flee before you, not even attempting to attack at all.

2. Well, with your character, you had a 14% chance of finding the lesser item each time, so you were unlucky. The minimum you can go while keeping the control of your character is 10, so if you feel unlucky, try to lower it to this level. If you lower it below, your character wil turn into Chicken, but he can still get you items if you have Move Find Item and are really lucky!!

i do have almost 100 brave with Ramza i have 97 and for some reson i dont know why they are still able to hit me and its a normal attack too i am sure and its not from the back either its from the front. They dont hit a lot buts its happened more than twice but thats not as agitating as me not hitting at 95% i've missed at least 10 times with a chance of 90% or above.

Question what does Brave effect other than move find item and Blade Grasp?

wow, you're really unlucky. I found all of my items with a character that had 25 brave.

Also, I have never been hit once with 97 Brave...

Sheesh.

LOL yea i agree, as for your problem I never realy experienced that problem mainly because I decided to stay away from Deep Dungeon...that place creeps me out....OH GOD I'M COMMING DOWN!!

I have 97 Brave with all characters and I get 02% with Ramza and Orlandu and
03% with Cloud. Cloud gets hit some times even with Blade Grasp.

My Rafa had 21 Brave in the Deep Dungeon, but I got all the good items anyway.
I had to soft-reset most of the time, however.

Even if you raise your Brave up to 100, it'll only last for that battle and reset after it. If you really want a 100% physical evade percentage, you'll have to have a Mediator on hand or use one of Ramza's Guts skills. It's well worth it though

You could also do an Abandon + Feather Mantle + Escutcheon II combo for better coverage overall, without making your Faith horribly low.

Rage... you asked about what other factors Brave influences other than move-find item and blade grasp. It also (tremendously) affects physical attack damage. You brought up something interesting, though. My PS2 played Tactics off and on, and I got so fed up I finally got on Ebay and got a PS1. Anyone else seen this problem?

Incorrect. Only a handful of physical attacks are dependent on brave...bare hands, knight swords and katanas are the only ones I know of. As far as the PS2 goes, I play FFT on a ps2 now and have never had a problem.

Well, they still have a chance, so they can still hit you. It may be 95%, but you can still miss because you don't have a 100% chance of hitting them.

but shouldnt it happen 5 out of 100 times. to me it almost everytime i face a chocobo or every other batlle. and the item finding is what really made me mad because i can heal hjp i cant remake items from phoneix downs!!! i mean i had a 14% chance of getting the crappy items and it happened to me. not in seperate occasion in one battle, and not once or twice i got the crappy items 3 times in a row and i was still on the first level of DD. I know the items arent the best there but its the pronciple and i didnt have the blaze or whatever it was gun.. man i was upset havent played it since!

after i got over my feeling of anger because of failing in Deep Dungeon i tried again. i was playing just a couple of minutes ago i was leveling up. i encountered a enemy geomancer with steal secondary skill. i killed their whole party except for a cat and the geomancer because she hadnt gotten to me yet. Then the geo went got to the side of my level 72 lancer/draggoner. used steal shield and stole my escutruch or whatever its called the second one, II. She stole IT!!!! With a 07% chance she stole the best shield in the game from me, its these sort of things that make me not want to play video games ever. the battle before i couldnt hit anything with 86% with beowulf... i am starting to hate this game im like level 90 and some characters are a little below but most are above 70... this is just bs.... sigh
