I don't know about extra bosses in IV, V, or VIII, but hey, that's what the "other" catagory is for. I'm also not sure about MagiMaster - but he seemed (to me) to be the closest VI has. If anyone thinks someone else is more suited to the role, lemme know and I'll change it.
Personally, I liked Ozma the best. He seemed to be just perfect as far as an extra boss should be. Nemesis took forever to get to, the Weapons were impossible, and MagiMaster seemed a bit too easy. Ozma had the perfect balance, and beating him was a true display of skill and mastery of the game. |

Ruby Weapon - I haven't defeated him to this day...
Also, Possible spoilers: highlight to view when he grabs you up after walking on the desert, that frightened the life out of me first time! I think that happens anyway... ![]() -------------------- "Luck is my middle name. I choose other because my favorite was Omega Weapon from FFVIII. While not my favorite game I did like fighting Omega. To me he was tougher then all the weapons in any other game. A close second was Ozma from FFIX and DoomGaze from FFVI. Its weird with FFVI cause after you get Setzer and his airship in the WoR every boss is basically optional after that cause you can go straight to Kefka's tower from there.

MagiMaster was pretty cool. That's who I voted for.
But I must say that the poll seems rather useless, as it has only a few different responses and the 'other'. -------------------- Wow. 1,000 posts. I miss you all now that I'm in boarding school! ;_; |

I voted "Other". I think Raijin and Fujin were really tough bosses in FFVIII. I'm talking about when they are fighting together. It took me awhile to beat them, but after I got rid of Raijin everything was fine. It was smooth sailing after him.

Shinryu-FFV
He was the most challenging ennemy I have ever encountered in any Final Fantasy game. You get a good weapon after his defeat. Well worth training for. -------------------- Yeah, I barely post. |

I enjoyed the Summoned monsters from FFIV collectively. It was an interesting hunt.

I picked Ruby Weapon because he can be impossibly hard if you let him. But thats if you let him.
Possible spoilers: highlight to view The trick is to use Hades on him. That screws him over pretty good. I actually made a point of beating Emerald and Ruby With only Cloud. And I didn't use that little trick to weaken Ruby. Emerald is cake but Ruby has super defense unless you weaken it. Let me say you have to mime Omnislash a lot to get the job done. -------------------- -- You're Gonna Carry That Weight -- |

FFV Omega. Cute little sprite, and looks a lot like those MachinHeads in the pyramid. But you find it before you find the information in that book in the Cleft of Dimension, saying that Omega is so darn tough.
And Omega -has amazing speed allowing it to attack an insane number of times in a short time-period OR -counterattacks practically anything OR -both of the above. With Shinryu you can at least equip Coral Rings to defend against his Tidal Wave attack. With Omega you can't do much other than let it cream you. You're lucky if you can survive more than several turns. And then Omega has permanent Wall status. And its attacks do either 1500-2500 damage in a single hit or 3/4 HP damage to one target, repeated many times. And... Simple answer: Omega don't like. Omega cream arse. im gonna have to go with ultima weapon from FF8. i like fighting him more than omega because ultima was challenging and fun, omega was really just hard. you could kind of plan an attack strategy on ultima, but since i didnt like to do card mods because i have a thing with completion and didnt want to lose any of them, i didnt quite have enough holy wars to get me through the whole battle. basically the fight against omega was a free for all until he was dead.
i was going to pick ruby, because im the only person i know that can consistently beat him every time i fight him (i really dont know why people think hes harder than emerald, ruby was a snap), but i think i had more fun with ultima. honorable mention to emerald as well. -------------------- You watch the world exploding every single night Dancing in the sun, a newborn in the light Say goodbye to gravity and say goodbye to death Hello to eternity and live for every breath Your time will come... |
