As much as I like the FF battle music for its trademark value, I always kinda felt that I would have preffered to hear the area music throught each part......like when your in the WOB, and you get into a random fight, the WOB music would just continue. There are some parts in some RPG's that do this and the effect is always much more dramatic and cool. I dunno, what do you guys think?

Well in my expert version the battle music doesn't play in battles with less than 3 monsters. This is a popular idea which is why I included it. The battle theme is good sometimes... it helps set the mood for combat. However I prefer it to be reserved for bigger and more dramatic battles. The battle music gets too repetitive in a series of very short battles.

It's a Final Fantasy tradition to play the battle music forthe battle only, and it's grown on me.
Naturally, I prefer the boss battle music but it would ruin the affect if that played every random encounter. ![]() -------------------- "Luck is my middle name. I really enjoy walking around the WoB with the nice, soothing music playing only to be surprised with that almost scratchy noise as the screen blurs followed by the awesome battle theme. The boss battle music is amazing as well... though it is no "Dancing Mad," heh. ![]() -------------------- Je ne t'aime plus, Mon amour... Je ne t'aime plus, Tous les jours... |

I like battle music because it puts me into the mood to fight, while the regular music puts me at ease until the next battle.

Just be careful of you play the FFVI Battle, Boss Battle, Atma Battle, any of Kefka's tier's battle, ro any other FFVI battle music there is, 'cause I'm gonna fight anyone and everyone, including you, if you don't watch it. [/jk]
But seriously, I love the battle theme musics from every FF game, FFVI escpecially. It just gives me the feeling of "I'm-so-gonna-tear-your-guts-out-you-(cuss, cuss, beep, swear)" -------------------- Wow. 1,000 posts. I miss you all now that I'm in boarding school! ;_; |
