Zozo gets my vote. The funny thing is, I would never want to go to a place like that in real life (I hate being rained on, especially if it's dark and gloomy and cold the way Zozo seems to be), and when I first arrive, even if I've made sure to do some leveling up beforehand, I never seem to be quite strong enough to deal with the enemies there without coming out of most battles with rather serious injuries, so walking around is a pain in the butt. But even so, I can't deny that the place intrigues me.
For one thing, "Slam Shuffle" (Zozo's theme song) is my favorite piece of music in the whole game. For another, the whole place is just so...bizarre. It's like some weird, surreal dream, or like being in another world altogether. Think about it: it's the only place in the entire game world where it rains (and not only does it rain, it never stops raining); there's only one inhabitant who tells the truth (this is especially refreshing in an RPG world, since it always seems to be an assumed fact that no NPC ever lies to the party); everybody who lives there seems to be leading this strange, futile, almost Sisyphean life (the line of guys proceeding endlessly to the counter, then up the stairs, and the guy jumping from window to window for no apparent reason); and to top it all off, there's a secret room accessed via a clock that contains nothing but a Chainsaw. I'd love to know more about the history of this place. All we get is basically "Zozo is a town of thieves", but there's obviously more to it than that. I like to think the town was cursed or something. Thamasa gets second place. I like how insular the people are, I like the innkeeper who changes his mind so drastically about you, I like how you just happen to catch the townspeople using magic behind your back, and I love the music. ![]() ![]() |

I voted Narshe because I like the caves (no, I'm not sucking up).

I voted Albrook, and I'm surprised I was the first one. I like the layout of the town, how it's predominantly elevated, and has a dock. It's a nice town once the Imperial trrops get booted.
