Having no reference picture to locke, I picked up my pencil and just began drawing, and drawing, and drawing... After I got done penciling it, I scanned it and sent it over to PS and did the outlining, coloring, and shading myself (my first time coloring and shading, you can probably notice the difference between my master pug and this)

OK, so I figured out that it was something that I wasn't doing that made it not work.

It's pretty good. He looks a little bit older than I'd imagined him, but my imagination won't stay in check anyway. I like the muscle texture and the white-black-white outlines, too.
