Heh, I love the thread title. And the closeup scan of the CD is pretty cool. You can definitely tell where the bullet hit..

By this point, I'm laughing my head off. What kinda gun did you use? Looks to me like a plastic-pellet BB pistol, but I'm not sure that those would do THAT to a CD case, but meh, what do I know? wacko.gif

It is actually quite funny once you think about it

reminds me of the time one of those crappy CDR's wouldn't play after i had burned the music

so i crushed it with my hand (it is really nothing to brag about)

who would have thought they'd be so weak laugh.gif

geez it felt surprisingly good

I find this disturbing. Probably only because a gun was involved.

Edit
I moved this thread because I honestly don't see it as art, even though I know some people might. I didn't spontaneously decide this, I talked with another moderator.

Why? Is it the casual use of a gun that bothers you? I'm assuming you didn't know it was a BB gun.

Well, it looks neat, but...

Even BB guns can be disturbing. Those can hurt you pretty badly, though it's hard to kill someone with it, I'll admit. If it can do that to a CD and case, it wouldn't be fun to accidently tear into your own flesh, or that of an innocent bystander.

Anyway, this isn't about that.

BB guns are so awesome I love em. There really isn't anything to fear with guns, it's whomever is handling the gun that should be the concern. It really worries me how people are so unnerved by guns, I'm not criticizing anyone, I just get worried that people might misunderstand it as a tool, and as a form of entertainment, kind of like a car and it's capacity to be used as a weapon.

Nice to see that meddlesome cd full of holes.

You know those AOL CDs that come free in the mail? Well, I took one of those, propped the CD up, and opened fire with my Crosman. That CD is going to be read no more... escpecially since the metal BBs were going at over 600 feet per second wacko.gif I can see how you can hurt someone with my BB gun, but I've seeen some that won't even pop a balloon at point blanc range blink.gif

Anyways, I've got a question. Or more of a question/comment really. It must have been a real pain shooting up the fool thing, but then taking it and placing it on a scanner must have been killer. Did you have to reasseble it like a puzzle at your scanner, or was there some other method used in scanning it?

Hehe... those pics still make me laugh...
