in a rom editors script editor i noticed dialogue with gau's father i hadn't experienced in gameplay. he says something about seeing locke and how he told him to go to the star shaped mountains. but i've never actually seen that used in gameplay.

Hm, I'll have to look for that conversation next time through.....maybe you have to have certain characters in your party?

Hey, I went to the old man a while after Gau's scenario with his father, with Mog as my active character. Sabin, Edgar and Celes were also in my team. He asked if I was the repairman, and Mog said
"No...I was wondering if you knew anything about Gestahl's map?"
And then he said some stuff about people constantly asking him about that, and then tells you the clue (star shaped mountains etc) and how a guy in a red bandana came here asking the same question. I wonder who that could be.

I had just saved Relm from Owzer's House, and hadn't yet defeated Doom Gaze. You might need to be at a certain part of the game to see that dialogue or have Mog in your party.

there is a rumor (i really wanna stress the word rumor here: RUMOR RUMOR RUMOR) that if edgar finds the hammer (?huh?) then u can fix gau's father's roof and in exchange he will give u an item that will revive Leo. (RUMOR RUMOR RUMOR)

I went through the FF6 PSOne version finishing it up, and that I had found out along the way through the game that if you want to see that bit of dialog that Iggy mentions about Gau's father mentioning Gestahl's map, that all that you need to do is simply talk to Gau's father twice in a row in the WoR with anyone in your party, not Gau and Sabin in your party at the same time when talking to Gau's father those two times, definitely before the cut scene with Gau, Sabin, and Gau's father and on the second time that he'll mention that bit of dialog that Iggy mentions about . >Danny<
