Here are some original creations of mine that I thought I would show off. Probably a lot of people who draw their own characters want to tell a story with them and that's true for me as well. I won't get into really deep story details because...well the little story I have in my head is a little long and sad.

Anyway here are some older sketches of my original characters. They gradually change over time as I make alterations to them and my skills improve. Try not to bash them too much. These are about a year or two old and I've inproved since then.

This first one is of the main character, Kala, of my story thing. She is a girl that crash lands on a planet. Oooh, she comes from space how original! Well, its a lot more complicated than that but whatever. I have her in a kind of skin tight space suit thingy.

Here is another pic of Kala. This is a point about 3/4 through the story where a traveling companion of hers dies a very sad death. She was developing deep feelings for this guy, Rujuken, so his death really affected her. As a result she kind of adopts Rujuken's harsh attitude. Here I have her wearing an alteration of Rujuken's jacket and his bandana tied around her arm.

Sad Kala

In this pic I have a kind of younger version of my secondary character, Rujuken, holding his little sister, Taisami. These two are VERY close. In a kind of flashback thing Taisami dies and as a result Rujuken is seeking vengeance. There's more to it but I won't get into it unless someone really wants to here it. The pic isn't that good but I thought it was worth showing.

And last on a completely unrelated piece here is a characterization of myself that I did for my profile. I would like to point out that the reason the pic doesn't look good isn't because of my lack of talent. It's because I'm kind of an ogre in the looks department. Anyway I think its a pretty accurate depiction especially considering I only spent about 45 minutes on it.

If I get a good response from this I think I'll post some more old sketches. They don't take long to do since all I have to do is scan them. And I'll explain about the story thing if anyone is interested but I warn you its kind of long winded.
