The title says it all, really.

Doom 3/Half Life 2
-these two both have the same statements. The graphics on themlook pretty nifty, and as for the Havok engine, that worked well in Max Payne 2, so in these FPS's it ought to be fun.

Final Fantasy X-2
-Its a final fantasy game. and its not out in the UK as square-enix's favourite game is messing around with UK release dates...

-Still a roumor, but i still want to see a sequel with a better range of guns. be fighting Eldar please!

-another 40k game, but this ones an RTS. C & C like is all is known, other than some Art. I want it!

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
so its more likely to come out 2005 here, i can still dream of a UK release this year (despite the fact i havent heard a Japanese release...). This one is more or less obvious as to why i want it...

But im kinda worried about playing as Big Boss, after all, i hated Raiden, and just want to play as Snake for more than half an hour this time. How will Big Boss compare to his son?

Dont forget that Snake was a clone of Big Boss, so even though you aren't playing as Snake you really are...if that makes sense.

Play as both Kain and Raziel and get to use telekinesis. Oh yes I so wants to use telekinesis and throw my enemies around and use two badass swords.

Yes I'm a Sonic fan so sue me.

Nobody has mentioned Gran Turismo 4 yet?? Whoa, culture shock. Automotive enthusiasts all over the world are waiting for this title. It'll be the best racing simulation ever, with remarkable race track replication and over 500 cars with dozens of variables to simulate their real world counterparts. It's not just an add-on to GT3 either... the physics engine has been reworked from scratch. This is gonna be fun despite the fact that online mode is probably going to alienate many fans by insisting broadband only.

Star Ocean 3 and Suikoden 4. I love both series and I'm eager to play the next installation of each of them. Other than that, I can't think of many other games that have been confirmed for a 2004 release that I'm really excited for.

I'm looking forward to Halo 2, which just got pushed back to the fall of 2004, and I'm also hoping that Thief III for the PC comes out in 2004, like it's expected to. I love the first person "sneaker" style, it's truly a unique type of game.

Also, rumors of a Baldur's Gate III game may be released, possibly in 2004 (but I don't know when). If that comes out I'm definately buying it.

haha, i'd be stupid not to put mgs3 as my number 1 anticipated game. but seeing as it has a november release date, and knowing the tendencies of the vg industry...who knows if it's coming out in 04? my second most anticipated game is fullmetal alchemist, cuz the anime is badass and it's a square game. check++ otherwise (in this order): ff12 (i'm surprised noone has put this?), wa: alter code f, so3, and the new atelier. AND the mothers (eb), if they actually come to the us gba.

I'm talking Swedish releases here. We are SO slow on getting new games. Most of you have probably played many of these games, but they haven't got here yet.

I can't believe only one person said that they are anticapating Halo 2 thats like going to be the biggest selling game ever the hype is insane. I am looking forward to that new Samurai Warriors its like Dynasty Warriors but with Ninjas and japanese stuff. I am also looking forward to MG3 i guess i saw the trailer 10 minutes one and i dont know if i can be as excited about this one as MG2 just because that one was so hyped and i mean its a sequal to the all time great MGS. Romance of the Three Kingdoms IX is gonna be tight. FFXII but i dont think thats 2004 ohh well

Me either. I am WAY looking forward to losing my life again in 16 player LAN matches. Bigger? Faster? Smarter AI? April can't come quickly enough.

i dont understand are you saying that halo 2 is gonna be overtoped by these titles?! i think not thats weak (if i misunderstood sorry Del S). Halo was $50 for the longest time of anygame EVER and when it finallly was bumped down because the pc version was coming out it made the news on CNN that the price went down and most stores still sell it at 50$ so when a game of this magnitude has a sequal its bound for greatness. and as for Rage. Dude im sorry to say this but when i checked out the halo 2 website they said that they dont know when its gonna be released they're still working on it and they said their gonna take as long as possible. There was a Faq by the creators that said if any stores says dates their false because thats the predicted date they dont know noone know but that was a while ago so it might have changed. What i want to see however is a second Counter-Strike with all new stuff that would be sweet its the only game i play for computer these days. Ts for life!!!

Thats fine and dandy, but are there enought Microsoft Bullet-Proof Crates to make it the bestseller across all formats? Perhaps on the X-Box it'll be bestseller , but overall? Sorry, but as much as i would love Halo 2 or its Comrades in Arms to kick that pathetic excuse for a pointed eared creature Link into tomorrow noon, it'll be be some random Zelda game is the best seller again... which i find weird considering that if Halo had sold 25% more there would be a copyof halo for every PS2 in the UK*

Doom 3 is the daddy of the genre as we know it to many, after kicking its own dad in the nuts, drowning it and stealing the BMW in the process and drivgn off to moneyville. Thus theres intrest worldwide greater than that of Halo 2 perhaps, as after all, many people dont like Microsoft outside (and inside) the US. What i was really saying was that the hype for this ones greater, and has a larger sales base possible.

Have you seen Half-Life 2? Those graphics... those guns... soo cool... shame about Halo 2's being comparable if not better, IIRC then isnt it... so you have a point there.

*Attempting to play Halo on a PS2 wil result in the PS2 firing the DVD at you like a Shiruken, decapitaing you. An X-Box on the other hand, if fed a PS2 game, will switch all your MP3 tracks to Britney Spears songs as punishment. Or mistake it for a copy of the Matrix

Ok i agree that a lot of people don't like Microsoft however Doom 3 is only for computer so it wont get sales on Ps2 either and even if Halo 2 is only for XBOX, it does not matter because as i sad Halo for Xbox, i dont know about PC, was the biggest selling video game ever for any console. Not counting the endless sequals to games like FF. Then Halo 2 i just think since they are spending so much time on it, it is going to have to be perfect they have delayed it like almost a whole year if not more.

Again even though a billion people hate Microsoft and i am not the biggest fan either it is a fact that it has greater graphic capability and almost every other kid in America (i dont know about UK) has an Xbox. Every one of my friend has an Xbox and they like xbox live and they all get together and have lan parties of you guessed it, HALO!!! So as i was saying even though there are other great titles coming soon i think HALO 2 will OWN!!! and if it doesnt it was good dream.

Have you seen the 10 minute halo preview? it was great everything looked awesome everything was destroyable, combo melee, air strikes, new rifle, twin smgs, flashbang grenades, jump on vehicle, prolly get one of those sweet BladeMaster Swords, i dont care it is gonna be sweet!!!

Ohh yeah i got a question that i wanna ask you maybe you know since you like half life... Do you know if they will make Counter Strike 2 with Half- Life 2?

I'm looking forward to HL2 and Doom 3. I don't give a crap about Halo 2. That's my opinion, and it's fine. This isn't supposed to be a war of who's going to sell most, it's your personal most-wanted.

(Besides which, I can't find any evidence to support Halo being the biggest selling game ever, and given the gulf between the XBox's 14 million units world wide and the PS2's 70 million, I find it hard to believe that Halo 2 could be. The XBox isn't that popular, even if it is amongst your friends. Popular Google opinion suggests that Super Mario Bros. 3 is the biggest selling game ever, which seems odd, so don't take that as gospel either.)

So let's all stop quarreling, eh? No more talk of who's going to sell more than who. It's not a competition. Just tell us all what you're looking forward to.

Yeah whatever, HAlo 2 and Fable are looking good. Ive had both reserved since last july at the local Gamestop. . fable makes me frigginmess myself everytime i see anew preview. if your an RPG fan look into it. im gonna agree with Tiddles, lets not argue about which game is better. its a Personal opinion on a large public forum. Someone is going to disagree with you.

I don't think that Konami has officially come out and said that Big Boss is the games hero, but it's pretty obvious.

Then again who would have thought that for most of MGS2 you'd be playing as someone other than Solid Snake.

FFXII: it's set in Ivalice, and it looks like it will achieve the impossible by capturing both the feel of old FFs and the look of modern FFs. So hardcore fanboys and casuals alike will finally agree.

Metroid Prime 2: The world needs more Samus Aran. That's all.

Two Games:
Kingdom Hearts II and Final Fantasy XII
I may get FFXI for PS2 desipte the fact it will be 99.99+ the network adapter 40.00+ a keyboard or that itype2 controler 40.00. It would total out to 180.00. I'll think about it. I also think of other games for 2004

Final Fantasy 11, and X-2....do those people at square ever take a break? also im a big fan of MGS and i look forward to snake eater, i just hope i can be snake longer, cuz he is the main reason i like the game

Can you believe that they bumped Gran Turismo 4's release to fall? First it was "maybe before Christmas", then "winter 2004", then "April 30th, 2004" and now September or October. This is actually a very good thing for the game itself because I was concerned about GT4's early 2004 release with all these great new cars suddenly coming out. This is really a big year for cars and I'm hoping that the reason the game was delayed again is to get all these new cars in at the last minute. So now I'm looking forward to it even more. It'll be well worth the wait.
