what are some strange generic class ideas you guys have
mine is: white mage w/ equip sword ability, excalibur equipped, and a secondary ability of jump surprisingly enough this works in battle, even without the excalibur sword i like to see all the crazy possibilities -------------------- "Have you ever seen a baby do that before?" |

I don't think you've tried that. You cannot equip the Excalibur on anything except for Knights. It's a Knight Sword, and can't be used in conjunction with Equip Sword.
Knight: Blast Gun Estucheon2 Grand Helm Maximillian Germinas Boots Battle Skill Item Blade Grasp Equip Gun Movement +3 (or 2 if female) This way, Knights can blast every last weapon and piece of armor, and break the enemy's stats until is has 1 Speed, 1 PA and 1 MA. Then the Knight can easily defeat the oponent. Knight #2: Chaos Blade Chaos Blade (Maybe Excalibur) Grand Helm Maximillian Bracer Battle Skill Item Blade Grasp Two Swords Movement +3 One of the most effective melee combos in the game. Samurai: Chirijiraden (nothing) Grand Helm Maximillian Genji Gauntlet Draw Out White Magic Hamedo Two Hands Movement +3 (or 2 if Female) With this setup, Samurai are essentially immune to physical attacks. (Sure, they could be attacked with a Spear or Stick, but a smart Samurai would mow down the enemy with Kikuichimoji before they get close.) Archer: Perseus Bow Thief Hat Rubber Outfit Brace, or Germinas Boots. Charge Battle Skill, perhaps? Maybe Item. Speed Save Short Charge Ignore Height (Maybe Jump +3 if Female) This way, an Archer can get to high ground quickly, and mow down enemies. With every hit he takes, his speed increases, and he can heal with Item. If he chooses to go with Battle Skill, you could bust the enemy's Weapon or Magic power. Short Charge helps to drastically shorten CT. Squire: Rune Blade Rune Blade Thief Hat Rubber Outfit Bracer Basic Skill Item (Maybe White Magic, thanks to his MA boost he recieves from the twin Rune Blades) MP Switch Two Swords Move-MP The Squire will have low HP, but his MP will be drained first, thanks to MP Switch. Since he has Move-MP, he can keep his MP up, and use it like a shield while he Accumulates When his PA is high enough, he can kill his opponent with ease. Wizard: Wizard Rod Wizard Rod Flash Hat Wizard Robe (Robe of Lords, maybe) Genji Gauntlet Black Magic Draw Out (Maybe Math Skill) Blade Grasp Two Swords (Maybe Equip Shield for Estucheon2 or Aegis Shield) Move-MP The Wizard will be doing high damage with whatever his secondary skillset be, thanks to his high MA. Blade Grasp will protect him from physical attacks, and he can heal with Murasame, and Haste/Regen himself with Masamune, and Protect/Shell himself with Kiyomori. Priest: Healing Staff Healing Staff Flash Hat Robe of Lords Genji Gauntlet White Magic Draw Out Dragon Spirit Two Swords Movement +3 With this setup, a Priest can be the ultimate healer. He can simply attack an ally (or enemy undead unit) and heal them. Watch for Counter of Hamedo, though. Even with Blade Grasp you can still heal. Blade Grasp only blocks one attack, so the second will connect. If you have allies with COunter or Hamedo, use Murasame. Math Skill hits the entire field, and doesn't discriminate between ally and enemy, so I didn't put it here. Monk: (nothing) (nothing) (nothing) Rubber Outfit Bracer Punch Art Jump Blade Grasp Two Swords Movement +3 Just attack something. Then it will die. Use Jump to deal damage and escape spells with long CTs. Use Chakra to heal, and Earth Slash to hit distant enemies. Meliadoul: Chaos Blade Estucheon2 Grand Helm Maximillian (or Robe of Lords) Bracer Mighty Sword Item (or White Magic) HP Restore Equip Change Movement +2 (or 3 if you have a gameshark) Many people don't like Meliadoul. Well, this is how I use her (sometimes.) With Equip Change, she can switch between a sword, spear and crossbow, making her a very flexible fighter. She can do alot of damage with the Chaos Blade, escape Hamedo and Counter with a spear and hit (sort of) distant enemies with her crossbow. I'll try to think of more later. |

Strange generic setups? I assume you mean for the enemies you fight.
[Enemy Priest with a Holy Lance] [Black Mage with a Slasher] [Bard with a Chirijiraden] [Time Mage with dual Blood Swords] [Orlandu with a ____ Staff] Note that some of these classes aren't even able to be fought 'in the wild' or ever, in some cases, but that dual Blood Sword mage would be awesome! -------------------- It's gonna be a glorious day I feel my luck can change |

Yeah, until someone slaps on an N-Kai armlet or casts Zombie on themselves. But then, you could hit them with Don't Move, and Meteor. Ouch.

Are you sure you can equip a shield while using a gun? without gameshark?
And Shotgunnova, the Time mage with dual blood swords wouldn't work either because you would need Equip sword AND two swords. Both of those are support abilities. All the rest are good ideas. How about this idea? I have this generic character in my current game, a Geomancer named Chaos: Lev 68 Rune Sword Rune Sword Thief hat Robe of Lords Genji Gauntlet Elemental Time Magic (mMmm meteor and haste spells) Blade Grasp Two Swords Move +3 or Teleport This post has been edited by Drizzt on 15th January 2004 20:01 |

You want ownage?
Ninja Counter Martial Arts Move HP Up I don't recall what items i was using, but I remember one thing, I took out Wiegraf's Zodiac Form in 2 hits. This has been one of the toughest battles for me, so I was amazed at how quickly I kicked his a$$. I use calculators more now, hence the name. Not a particularly hard Ninja to make, but it DOES work extremely well. Oh and word to the wise...DO NOT PUT EQUIP SWORD ON A CALCULATOR. |

i like your ninja, but no offense i just think it lacks versatility. The idea is too simple, i dunno maybe i should try it out sometime, but to me it sounds like you just have a stronger version of a monk with throw. I would give up some ownage for looks and versatility
![]() By they way, i'm one of those people who have never tried a calculator after hearing about their base of 4 speed!!! ![]() |
