True. You can only get Straycats to cast Blaster with Relm. I thought one could get the Sketch specials with Muddle, but that is not the case with Straycats. In any case, Straycats are not the earliest you can experience Blaster. Keep guessing, folks.

To GMH:
All I will tell you is that you can experience Blaster in the WOB before the point where you get Relm.

That's not the case with anyone unless the special attacks in question are in both Sketch and Control.

(just clarifying before someone gets the wrong idea)

Adamanchyt can cast it. But there is a critter which uses Blaster even before that.

It's probably something tricky, like a hidden monster or some weird event.

The Baskervor does not cast Blaster. You are probably thinking of the Adamanchyt, which is a palette swap of the Baskervor. MegaArmor also does not cast Blaster.

How about another clue? Or would you rather let this one ride out for a while longer? Heh.

Hint: 10 critters can cast Blaster. 2 Bosses/8 Enemies. 3 of the 10 are found in the WOB.

well when i said stray cat, thats during the 3 scenarios, and you said its way before that. then, to "narrow it down" you gone and said its before you get relm, which is a couple of game hours AFTER the 3 scenarios, thus pointlessly widening the scope. now you got people bringin baskervors and adamanchyts and things into the picture when you said its BEFORE the stray cat... why didnt you just say its before the 3 scenarios instead of bringing relm into the picture?

youre just confusing people.

I am sorry if I confused you.
I did not mean for you to infer that Blaster occurs before the 3 scenarios.
What I said was that during your initial encounter with StrayCat, you cannot get the Blaster special attack to occur. In fact you cannot get StrayCat to 'use' Blaster until you have Relm. My statement was directed towards when you 'get' Relm. That is, Blaster can be 'experienced' "long before you get Relm". Sorry for the confusion.

I will solve it after lunch today.


EDIT:
The answer is the Magitek Research Facility at the end of the Mine Cart ride. Number 128: Body casts it (very rarely, thank goodness).
I will relinquish my turn and let anybody post the next question.

Note about palette swaps of espers: the "red esper" enemy (listed in enemy directories, and I assume programmed in as an enemy) that Kefka "fights" (I think in Thamasa) could count as a palette swap of Ifrit.

sorry if im asking a stupid question, but could you explain morph? are we talking about metamorph with ragnarok, or are we talking about actual MORPH as in what terra does? i already have a pretty good idea about this one, i just wanna make sure.
