I just read on the rumors here that Gestahl can be revived. But at the very top of the rumors page on ff6 it says "Please be advised: In this case, "Rumour" pretty much means "Lie." If you try these, don't yell at us when you have wasted thirty hours of your time.". So here is my question, has anyone actually successfully revived him using the method described in CoN rumor page? Thanks!

No. If a rumor was true, it wouldn't be a rumor (especially with a 9 year old game).

I'm not saying that I do, Elect. I am not foolish enough to go through I spend hours trying to do something that isn't possible. Thats why I want to know if it is before I even go through with all of it. And that is also why I made this forum topic. Although the majority of rumors are false, some happen to be true. maybe that one was a rumor for about 2 weeks after the games initial release, before it was realized that it is, in fact, a reality. i think after 9 years someone would have figured out how to revive gestahl even without CON's RUMOR page. what would you plan to do with him once he was revived anyhow?

break it down:

rumor=lie

the rumor about reving gestahl is therefore a lie, simple as that.

But it would be cool IF you could revive Gestahl, at least for character development. I would like to see what he would think of Kefka now.

I don't want to sound like a sour puss. But really why would you really want to revive Gesthal of all people. If anyone deserves to be revived it should atleast be Rachel or the person I'd really like to revive would be Leo.

Rachel, hmm. Isn't she the one that Locke knew. One reason why I would revive him is because of the fact that it can be done. It is like viewing

Does it get you anything, no. But people do it just to do it. I think it would be worth while just to show that it can be done. But I believe we already established the fact that it can't. Oh well.

You should know that Gestahl comes with at least Fire 3, Flare, and Merton, three very powerful spells. If he does come, that is.

yes, yes i have been foolish enough to try. You see, i am a FF6 fanatic, and after i beat the game numerous times,i decided to go online and try all the rumors i came across. My biggest feat ever was spending the summer of '99 fighting 4000 battles in the dragon shapped forest, that was supposed to givce you a "revive potion" which you could use on general leo's grave, which would thgen revive him. Sadly it was a lie.

well, before the days of computers and forum pages, i thought that it was somehow possible to get zeigfried. or at the very least, he had some important role in the game. i just assumed that gogo was gogo, but looked an similar to kefka from the back (same jacket).

i wished that leo would come back to life, but knew that he wouldnt. never cared for rachel, and didnt know about the gamma sword lie.

i dont think that mog was a real secret. if you ever looked at the instruction manual, the game talks about him. however, nobody ever speaks about him or mentions that he must be recruited (in game, that is). however, umaro and gogo are mentioned, if slightly.
