I'm just hoping to get some more exact specifics from you guys on this one here. I'm not really sure if this one's ever been reported here at all, but I've heard it mentioned about in other places on the Internet. For this game here, there's been a rumor around about the Basilisk's Eye, an item found somewhere in the game itself used to supposedly remove the petrification spell on Palom and Porom still statues in Baron Castle by that point in the game. Any and all help here to find out the rest of this rumor will be appreciated of course, even though that I already know that even if it does/did exist at all, that it still turns out to be completely unneeded either way later on near the end of the game after all. >Daniel<

It doesn't exist.

It's a rumor.

There's no way to revive Palom and Porom with an item.

In any version of the game.

Period.

That's about it for the rumor, though. It's been floating around for years. They say it was a dummied item, etc. The biggest I've heard is that the reason you can use items at all is to get you to waste your super-expensive heal-anything items in the hard version, where you actually have different items for different status ailments.

Sheesh, theres probably a hundred roumours anbout reviving the twins.
Hell, theres probably a dedicated Conspiracy website or five, (with links to it from JFK-was- killed-by-the-CIA.com.

and whats worse is, they're dull characters. why would you WANT to revive them? biggrin.gif

Can you tell us the source of where you found this information. When you take a second look I believe you'll question the rumour's credibility.

It simply wouldn't make any sense. What would the point be?

They come back anyway, although I don't remember how.

What would they do if they came back? Just loaf around the castle? They couldn't rejoin the party, because there's no way to switch out members. It's crazy.

This is like the rumor of bringing back Aeris with 99 tissues you get from the battle arena. You can't revive Palom and Porum. It is impossible to ever use them again. Why would you want to use them anyway? You got Rydia and Rosa who are perfectly good magic users. But to make sure everyone hears, there is no way to revive Palom and Porum using any item.
