"Never tell me the odds." .... Yeah, I'm quoting Han Solo now.

No matter what happens, we can't let Tidu-whomever (that's right) win back-to-back!

I've also only watched exactly five minutes of this tournament! College basketball is pretty boring, but still, Genghis CoN must CoNquer!

Well! And we're down to three participants left. Geoffrey, Gabe, FinalAlias, Baralai, Iain, and BlitzSage were all eliminated over the last two days with various team losses. And now it all really boils down to the winner of the overall tournament.

If Kentucky wins: Tidu wins.
If Michigan State wins: Tidu also wins.
If Duke wins: Bobbo wins.
If Wisconsin wins: Stiltzkin wins.

Should be a good end to the tournament. Good luck to all!

In the night there is something wild
Can you hear it breathing?
And hey, put the laptop down for a while
In the night there is something wild
I feel it, it's leaving me

I'm hoping for an all-Big Ten final now. A Duke win will knock me out of the money elsewhere, and anything else keeps me in. I'd be happy to see a new CoN winner, so, sorry to Tidu and Bobbo, but go 'Sconsin.

... yuck.

Yeah, go Badgers! I'm still sad Gongaga and the Chocobos are out though.

I either root for my heart (Wisco) or root for my head (Kentucky = $$ in two different pools for me).

Can't wait for the last couple games! If the Badgers beat Kentucky, I just might go visit my sister and brother-in-law up in Madison for the Monday night Championship...

And one by one I watched every constellation die
And there I was frozen, standing in my backyard
Face to face, eye to eye, staring at the last star
I should've known, walked all the way home
To find that she wasn't here, I'm still all alone

Third title in four years. You may call Emperor Bobbo now, because I'm ruling this dynasty! Or, since this is a game of predictions, does this make me the greatest prognosticator since Nostradamus?

All serious though, thanks for another great year of competition. I got some lucky calls, most notably picking the correct champion helps. But so does having 3 out 4 in the final group, and knowing that no matter the seed you can never count on Villanova or Gonzaga to carry your bracket (remember that next year, folks).

I'll make the same promise I do every year in saying I pledge to come more often than to rob a friendly competition once a year. But just in case I falter, see you next March ... If I'm invited back that is. #EveryoneHatesAWinner #CoNCAA #HashtagsAreDumb

Ugh. Take your award. Also Tidu for his bronze. smile.gif

Big congrats to Iain for taking the silver, though, that's quality work helped immensely by having Duke as his champion. I think he'll agree he played over the odds this year!

Also, congrats to all for us having zero people who signed up but failed to complete picks. That might be the first time that's ever happened.

Yay! I done a thing!

And, yes, having Duke was key. Had the favorite not gone down and brought most of the other brackets with it, I'd have been a goner. Thanks for organizing this smile.gif

Great tourney. Very weird, but great to watch all around.

I would say see you next year, but I'm assuming we're gonna just shut down all future pools and just annually congratulate Bobbo from now on.

There is zero chance of that. Congratulating Bobbo, that is. Closing the pools... well, not as long as I can keep harassing people to come play.
