talking to everyone you meet in ff3 can be important in terms of character development, plot development, and discovering secrets. it is especially important in WoR to find out where your friends are, and where great items are.
what are some of the favorite discoveries people have made through talking to strangers in the game? Possible spoilers: highlight to view hearing about celes being the witch of maranda: burning it down, and dethroning it's royal family revealed her dark side. How about you make use of that Spoiler tag, bub?
Anyway, a commonly overlooked plot event that I enjoy happens when... Possible spoilers: highlight to view After the airship crashes, you can find Setzer arguing with Cyan in the engine room of the Blackjack. Has some comedic value, and it pushes the fact that Cyan is a klutz around machinery. |

Quote (Rubicant @ 12th November 2003 10:25) Possible spoilers: highlight to view After the airship crashes, you can find Setzer arguing with Cyan in the engine room of the Blackjack. Has some comedic value, and it pushes the fact that Cyan is a klutz around machinery. Possible spoilers: highlight to view Actually, he's talking to Cid in the engine room. And Cid just kinda gets in the way. I like the townsperson in South Figaro, in the World of Ruin, that jumps out from behind a tree and exclaims, "For each life lost, a new one appears to fill the void!" That's somewhat paraphrased, but it's only for word choice. It's a nice feeling. -------------------- Hey, put the cellphone down for a while In the night there is something wild Can you hear it breathing? I loved Miranda in te WOB with all the soliders betting on the dog fight and the one soldier chasing the girl around. Thought that was pretty funny

My favorite townsfolk, in terms of personality, were those in Thamasa, in the World of Balance. They all acted like they didn't know nothing and were means SOBs..

i like the girl in kohlingen who yells at you for stepping on the flowers, its a nice touch. and i like the creepy fella who hangs out in the woods and sells you saraphim. anyone who lingers slightly outside of a town in the woods and watches the townfolk is pretty cool in my book. does he have a physical deformity? is he watching women dress through the windows from where they cant see him? we may never know.

Now I know why they call you "theRANDYrhoads"...
I like the whole population of Zozo. It's so surreal in there--only one guy tells the truth, everybody's confused about the time, and there's that neverending line of people checking in at that one desk and then going up the stairs. It's like a weird dream. Plus there's that guy leaping from windows between buildings. I mean, what the heck does he think he's doing? Besides giving the party a huge hint, that is. Edit Wooo! as for the guy in the south figaro bushes, this is a hillarious part, as he is alluding to what you catch him doing in the bushes with a girl. for her part, the girl just says, 'oh, that person', probably pretty humiliated.

I like the guy in Vector that tells you about Kefka. Kinda like a hidden piece of info you never get the first time around. Like finding Sephy comes from a human womb.

My favorite towns person has got to be that wounded soldier in Mobliz. Why you ask well because hes so annoying and stupid making you run back and forward delivering letters to get an item you probably will never use. He also raises a few questions like, are the townspeople in mobliz such a-holes that they wont mail his letters for him?, and is he litterate? Another good towns person ( if you can count them as such ) is any ghost on the ghost train they rock.

Possible spoilers: highlight to view It was just so cool controlling I like the Espers in the Esper Village. Possible spoilers: highlight to view an Esper (Maduin) and also speaking with the other Espers; they had formed a seemingly normal society just like humans. Although I figure that'd be expected, since before the War of the Magi humans and Espers peacefully coexisted. -------------------- SPEKKIO: "GRRR...That was most embarrassing!" |

In South Figaro I like the kid that runs around saying "chug chug chug, magitek armor!" I also like the soldiers that casually talk to Locke when he's dressed like an emperial soldier.
