I've never been a big New Year's resolutions person - probably because people can get pretty overblown with them sometimes - but as an exercise it seems to have some value.
I'm doing a new thing in a new location at the moment, so my primary concern is simply keeping on top of the new things being thrown at me. As such, my 'resolutions' for 2015 are all about making sure things don't fall through the cracks. First of all, I have a pile of CoNwork that I am determined to attack. Second, I hereby resolve to spend less money next year - less eating/drinking out. My third resolution is to stay in more meaningful contact with my friends scattered all over. So do you do resolutions, and if so what are yours for the coming year? How successful have you been with them in the past? -------------------- Currently Playing : Final Fantasy V Most Recently Beat : Elder Scrolls: Skyrim Favorite Game : Final Fantasy X The newest CoNcast is up! I won't commit to anything as a resolution (I mean, how often does that really work?), but I do look to add more veggies into my diet. And be more active in CoN with more posts and fanarts! (Yeah, good luck with that one, too

I want to make something of my own with at least three different crafts. I am a fast learner, but very lazy; so it seemed like a suitable resolution for me. Yeah, God told me that literally this exact second.

I'm wise/cynical enough to not ever actually "resolve" to do anything. I know that in most cases, if it was something I was truly resolved to doing, I wouldn't be waiting for the start of the year to do it - therefore, anything I might propose for the start of a calendar year is probably doomed to fail due to apathy.
Or that might just be a self-fulfilling prophecy meant to make myself feel better. ![]() Anyway, here's what I'd like to do in 2015:

Well, I know how to knit, but I am not very good at it, so I aim to get better at it. My mother bought me a sewing machine for Christmas, so I want to put it to good use. As for the third, maybe I shall take up embroidery or something. I just realized that those are basically the three girliest crafts on the planet... ![]() |

Does resolving to post on CoN after a 4-year silence count?

That about covers the main stuff. Welcome back! As for myself...well, I didn't make a resolution. Hmm...what do I most want to do. Perhaps I should resolve to work hard and play hard. Basically, that means using my time more effectively. To not spend so much time thinking about what to do, or procrastinating doing the things that I need to but don't feel like doing. So that I'll get more time to do the things I truly want to do. I just finished my "rounds" checking the new posts here. So it's a good time for me to say that I resolve to ask myself whether what I'm doing is worth my time, and if the answer is "no" (or even "not really"), then I ask myself what it is that I really want to do, and to take the steps to allow myself to do it. Even if those steps might be inconvenient or painful. -------------------- Check the "What games are you playing at the moment?" thread for updates on what I've been playing.
