this faq is maybe not so important to everybody but it is important to players who is struggling to lesser important bosses like the 8 dragons and such.
Q wich is the easyest way to kill bosses like the 8 dragons? A: if you use vanish on an enemy and it affect the enemy and makes him invincebel it will be vulnerabel to any magic spell. when the enemy is invincibel then use Doom to instant kill the enemy or use the X- zone(not recomended because you dont kill the enemy, you make him disappear to an other dimension and then may wont give any items) /if i wrotet anything wrong just correct it and as i said, this is for players who are noobs, newbies and persons who are struggeling and dont succes. Actually, Vanish does the exact opposite of what you said. It gives the enemy zero chance to DODGE a magic spell. Every single magic spell has a 100% chance to succeed and bypasses all status protection, which is why the bug is so popular with Doom/X-Zone. Vanish does make it impossible/very difficult to connect with a physical attack, but your magic spells will always hit if the enemy is vanished.
Next time you make a FAQ question, try to answer it correctly. -------------------- Is PJ |

It was something I had to research a bit, myself (from not having an idea of what it was at all);
Q: What is "Wind God Gau", and how do I set him up? A: "Wind God Gau" is Gau equipped with the following: Tempest (Cyan's weapon), Merit Award (Relic; bet 'Cat Hood' at the Colosseum), + Offering. This "build" for Gau also requires the Stray Cat Rage ability, which uses CatScratch to deal excellent damage (4x Attacks because of the Offering, combined with the chance of using Wind Slash to hit all targets with this magnificent damage). Not really sure if it's considered a legit question, since many assume this to be a "gross" exploit, or cheat. In any case, I'm sure many others had to wander the internet too. ![]() This post has been edited by Insolar on 23rd January 2012 08:09 -------------------- "In I go, off to mend. So yeah I just went through all the previous Q&A's and was surprised no one stated this one about Gau
If I go to the Veldt with a party of 4 and Gau is one of the party members, have him leap into an encounter, go back to the airship and grab a 4th member to replace Gau, does Gau gain any of the monsters, for a rage, that you kill with the party of 4? No actually Gau doesn't. In order for him to have learned any new Rages from monsters you've fought from when he leapt and when he returns it must be a party of 3 or less. Otherwise your just wasting time and effort. After 10 or so years that had been bothering me and I wanted to give it a try. Thats as far as the GBA version though, I haven't tried it for the SNES or PS versions yet. -------------------- Kefka's Message of the week: Get off your couch noobs and get my new game Dissidia 012 |

Insert after:
"How do I attack four times like General Leo? You need the Offering Relic, which can be obtained by defeating KatanaSoul, a Monster-in-a-box in the Ancient Castle. If you want an even deadlier combination, equip the Offering along with the Genji Glove to attack eight times in one turn." OK! I want to have more Genji Gloves, how do I get those? GIMME GIMME GIMME!! You can found it in Returners' Hideout (Refuse to help them several times when controlling Terra only), Cave to the Sealed Gate, Cyan's Dream (Can't be replayed). If you have missed them or even want MOAARRR you can steal them from the Dragon enemy at The Floating Continent as a rare item (12.5 chance). You cannot find the enemy anymore in WoR except for in The Veld very rarely, but then you need to have killed one of these monsters at least at the continent. You can also morph them from two monsters, the Samurai in Cyan's Dream and the Retainer. However, Cyan's Dream is only accessible once and Kefka's Tower is near the end of the game, so you are best off with stealing them from the Dragons, although even this can take time to get some. |

I tried to steal from this thing (like Gilgamesh) for three hours now, why don't I get an item?
Locke, Shadow, Gogo can only steal items from enemies which are "only" 49 higher than them. Simple scan the enemy or look at the bestiary and substract 49. If your character is at a lower level than this number, he cannot steal at all from this enemy yet. The higher the level of the thief, the morelikely a successful item steal is. Q: Is there any way to save Cid?
A: Yes. If you catch the fast-moving fish rather than the slow-moving ones, eventually Cid will get up and direct Celes to the raft. It does not effect the ending. Q: How many Espers are there and how do I get them? A: Besides the ones you are required to get to progress the game -- Seraphim - purchased from a fellow in the northeast corner of Tzen in the WoR Starlet - received with Relm after fighting the evil painting (only available if you waited for Shadow on the Floating Continent) Tritoch - received after fighting the Frozen Esper in the WoR Phoenix - received with Locke in the WoR Terrato - found in a bone carving in Umaro's cave Fenrir - received with Terra in the WoR Odin - found in the Underground Ruins; walk up to the statue of Odin and press Confirm Raiden - if you go deeper into the Ruins and approach the statue of the Queen, Odin will transform into Raiden Palidor - found on the Solitary Island after you get the airship Bahamut - received after defeating Doom Gaze That is all I can think of off the top of my head. Please excuse the lack of organization. |

There is an error in the FAQ.
Quote I killed Hidon before learning Grand Train. How can I learn it now? Go back to Ebot's Rock...he'll be there again. This is missing a step. You have to repeatedly talk to Gungho in Thamasa until he randomly says "Hidon's appeared at Ebot's Rock again!" Then Hidon will be there. -------------------- X is blue. |

Before I'm gone for good - old age, lost interest, ect., I can make a suggestion.
Hail FFVI as the greatest game of all time and be lucky to be alive to play it. Sad face for those who passed away in 1992. Also, I suggest playing low levels runs of this game and others if you haven't already. You don't need to do it fast though it really tests your knowledge. It actually makes equipment worth buying. You also prepare for emergencies in games when you deliberately handicap yourself.
