Yeah, we did a second one. No, really, the feedback we got from everyone was quite positive, and we really appreciate it. We're trying to find our feet, and what better way than to keep practicing with a second episode?
It's been two weeks since the first, and I think that's the pace we'd like to try to keep - well, unless you guys want more or fewer, I suppose! This time around, the crew from the first episode (me, Tiddles, DP, and lasz) regroup to talk about what games and media we're absorbing - as all gaming podcasts are legally required to do - and then we also moved into a recap of my time at PAX East, and some conversation about the big name software coming out of Square Enix this year, including Final Fantasy XIV and X/X-2 HD. We digressed a little more this time around. I kept the most entertaining bits! We'll be recording again pretty soon, so feel free to let us know if you have any subjects you might want us to hit. We don't quite have the feed running yet, as I have a couple things left to work out. I'll have it running in time for the next episode! |

I made an error when we recorded this episode. Right around the middle I make a comment about a "failed Elite KickStarter." That KickStarter project, Elite: Dangerous, struggled in its early going but eventually met its goal of 1.25 million GBP. It dropped off my radar because, well, I'm not sure. I think the KickStarter news blog I follow stopped mentioning it.
Elite: Dangerous KickStarter EDIT: also, Josh cut at least five straight minutes of discussion about burritos this episode. Probably for the best. This post has been edited by laszlow on 3rd April 2013 01:52 -------------------- |

You should totally do the talk show idea. I'd call up if it was a Skype thing.

I'm not sure if it was mentioned but the Walking Dead is out on ipad and iphone if you're looking to play it without scarring any little people. If you've already bought it on another service then I understand but, as someone who's played it multiple times, I liked it so much I would recommend buying it twice. I've played a bit of it on the iphone and it's not awful, but perhaps not the best platform (then again I did watch both seasons of SG Universe on my iphone, [Scott, Greer, fix it, you are a good commander etc etc]).

Or both? That was it, there were things I didn't know existed at all. I think they were explained fine, nothing was referenced without any explanation (although possibly some things were but I knew what they were already). Also things like... I haven't played Persona 4 but I think I've seen one brief video on it. After hearing Lasz saying there isn't any point in playing other games at the moment it makes me want to see more of it. That's also what I mean by informative. Poor Fisherman's Horizon... -------------------- Scepticism, that dry rot of the intellect, had not left one entire idea in his mind. Me on the Starcraft. |
