I probably should have put this up sooner, but seeing as there's still a week left in the Kickstarter campaign for this game, I thought I'd bring attention to it. You can read more about it in the link, but basically, if you liked Planescape: Torment, Torment: Tides of Numenera is being written in much the same vein. I've already made my pledge, though I might still pledge more to help reach the additional stretch goals, and, perhaps, reach a higher pledge tier.

I really love the backstory / world for this game, there's so many interesting places they could take it. I've been following their tumblr for updates.

Good call on broadcasting Numenera.

The premise alone hooked me, let alone seeing what they've already done with it.

Looks slick, sounds slick, likely will be slick, so I put some cash into it. Looking forward to that reaching fruition.

I've only dipped my toe into Planescape: Torment, but I do have a copy of it from GOG.com, so I look forward to delving further into it, when I have the time, and to get the background before Numenera comes out.

I should add (rather late, I suppose dry.gif ) that Torment: Tides of Numenera has nothing to do with the Planescape setting. Instead, it's based on a completely different setting called Numenera, and is being developed as a spiritual successor to PS: T, with similar themes. Some of the PS: T production staff, including Chris Avellone (who headed up PS: T), are even involved.

In other words, Perigryn, you won't really miss anything in Tides of Numenera if you don't play PS: T.

At any rate, Torment: Tides of Numenera is now officially the most funded video game Kickstarter project, with over $4 million!
