I hear from some people on ff shrine forums, that FFXIII versus has been in the making for 8 years, and that supposedly, an action type game.Anyone able to confirm anything?

rumored to come out in 2013.I hear it still hasn't been cancelled, and going to be different from other games.I saw the preview, and it has beautiful graphics, and very modern, with cars and toll booths, and magic.

I hear from ng4 site, that there will be a demo for this action rpg in 2012, but not sure when.

nomura and staff supposedly seem fairly confident about this game.

In their staunch denial of the rumors surrounding FFXIII Versus' cancellation, the staff certainly seemed confident about the game.

It was originally announced at E3 2007, I believe, meaning that it's existed in the public eye for the past six years. It was surely in some early stage of development prior to summer 07, but since the title has from the start been developed for PS3 system capabilities, it is unlikely that the project began very much sooner.

Cars, toll booths, cityscapes and modernity in general have been staples of the trailers and images of the game since 2007.

As for the status of a playable demo, I have also seen rumors concerning one. However, it should be recognized that these rumors surfaced in January of 2012, and it is now November of 2012; if they intend to release a demo this year, they're running out of time to announce it.

According to vlog 24/7, yoichi wada came out and confirmed that the cancellation was a hoax, and we would be surprised by the city settings.On the vlog, it also mentioned it was originally going to be made part of the fabula nova cristalis package, but made it into a separate game.

According to N4g on september 1st, there would be no more previews of versus later this month, instead, concentration was put on lightning returns, and FFXIV:a realm reborn.

I'm hopeful for this game, if it does get a release! Recent Final Fantasy games seem to have lost their way a bit (despite all looking really pretty). It'll be nice to see a game that looks like it's taking some risks
