To follow along with the crowd, my vote goes to Shadow. His character is that of a hero with a dark, mysterious side. Not to be -dekcuF with, and fearless were my initial reactions to him.

What really had me stuck on his character for a while was the first time I beat FF6 (back when it was FF3 to me), and the first time I'd seen one of his dreams, it became the most shadowy back story of all the characters and I wanted to know as much as possible.

That's my 2 or 50 Cent.

Locke is always number 1 for me! Although Mog gets high up too. It's a shame he hasn't got that much part in the story line. It would be fun to see him talking to Gestahl and Kefka on Floating Island, for example. (You musn't destroy the world! Kupo!)

Tough pole..but I go for Locke. How can you not like the wise-cracking thief exterior with the pent up anguish and sorrow for his lost love interior? I also cannot live without the Steal command, and I really like Locke's upbeat theme song.

I loved Terra, Locke, Edgar, Sabin, Celes, Shadow and Setzer. Most of the characters in VI were pretty cool though.

Why? Cause he was helpful throughout the whole game and so was Sabin.
Those 2 made a great team. And as I said in another poll (or post I don't know)Edgar had Offering equipped and Sabin had X-magic because of the Gem Box.

My Fav character in the game was Ultros. He was pure comedy, I never hated fighting Ultros, no matter how hard you tried to hate him he always made you laugh. "Don't tease the octopus kids!!" I only wished he joined your party rather than working as a receptionist.

Sabin, i don't know. he just always ended up in my party

I had to go for Celes, although Shadow and Terra were close behind. I guess I had faith in her when the story made her look suspicious, and then felt rewarded when she became the (kind-of) lead character.

I voted for Setzer, but Terra, Shadow, Cyan, Gogo, Strago, and Gau follow close behind. I just can't understand why so many people like Locke.

I thought Sabin was the most useful in most places and he was just a pretty cool guy all around.

I voted for Terra, but Shadow is right up there with her and Sabin not far behind.
Coincidentally, those 3 are almost always in my party, when they're available anyway....

Edgar for me, Edgar and Ken (from SF) inspired my long blonde hair. I hought I could get chics if I grew my hair out. It kinda worked.

Then again the whole story surrounding Edgar was a damn good one.

For Me

It's a toss up between Terra and Edgar. So after a little mind debate the winner was Terra.

I always felt for Terra the Esper girl who lived most of her life in a cell and took two years to discever who she is and find her purpose in life. She eventually became the master of her own destiny. A killing machine who eventually shows her skill at nurturing.

And as for Edgar, how can I relate to this guy. Well I have terrible luck with women ad Rangers51 and Neal both know. I don't use Edgars pick up lines because they should have been buried long ago. But he did a great thing for lil bro Sabin. He never wanted to suck up to a greater power than him. And led Figaro to independance. That in itself is pretty cool.

i think that edgar is the best because he is the most human and the one i can relate to. i cover up my own uneasiness by, well, flirting...im usually thrown into leader position...well, the strong factor just happens to be there eh? and what guy dont know how to use tools :D

Shadow is one of my favorite characters in that game.







BUT MOG IS JUST AWSOME!!! He attacks with a spear that is twice as big as himself and dances his enemies to death. Mog is definitely awsome.

It's too bad you left out the most powerful WoB character, Gau. Try proving me wrong Anyway, Gau is my favorite character. He's always the #1 guy in my party. Unfortunately that makes the game too easy when bosses die in 3 hits, but oh well. His attacks are just awesome, and his starting stats are above everyone else's. All other characters are a joke in comparison except Cyan, Sabin, Edgar and Shadow.

Mog has to be the best. He's hip, he's cool, and he's a furry animal who can harness the elements at will. Plus, he can boss around a yeti and the espers, especially Ramuh, seem to think he's special (coming to him in dreams). Locke is my second favourite though, even though I most use Sabin.

Edgar, of course. He's a ladies man (or so he thinks), he's a king (Uh-huh), he's mechanically inclined, and he was the one who flirted with the half-human. What's not to love?

Oh yeah, he's just too darned cool, also.

There are so many great characters in this game...I already listed 6 and there are so few I don't like.

Gau is far and away the best. His stats are the best overall (when you consider all stats averaged), and his Rages are crazy powerful if you use the right ones, especially in the WoB. I have NEVER lost a battle with Gau in my party, and the fact that his rages don't use MP is the icing on the cake.

Strago is second, with Sabin falling to a close third.

io_rage--I think that means you think they way I do. Gau and Strago have probably the largest repertoire of attacks. I personally like Strago more than Gau, but I think that both are extremely useful in battle, especially if both have a full repertoire of magic.
