So this is the only FF game I have never completed all the way through. Currently right now id say im fairly close to the end of the game (Heading to the Cave In The Veldt) and just wanted to get some advice on anything I should do before the final fight. Items, Leveling to a certain level etc.
Thank you in advance |

If you want my $0.02.. just give it a go, have a 'natural' experience.
I'm pretty sure you can back out of Kefka's tower if you get overwhelmed there, all the way up to the last part of it. There's always warp and separate save files, too. Then head back to the walkthrough or here if you still feel like some advice =] Also: welcome to CoN! The game's difficulty pacing is very comfortably ramped so that you should always be at roughly the right level if you fight most of your random battles and generally use the characters evenly.
Do remember that you need to make three teams of four characters each for the final dungeon. Yes, it's epic like that. I agree with Binge. Go in and see if you get hurt really bad. One thing to remember is that you can leave if you want. So you're not stuck there (though I'd check the guide maybe to see if there's a point of no return, can't remember).
I tend to over-level, but I would guess the 50s would be fine. This post has been edited by BlitzSage on 4th March 2013 17:04 -------------------- |

I feel like the first time I beat the game (roughly, what... 18 years ago?) I was in the mid-sixties for many of my characters. I would say that if you're more careful, ten levels fewer would still not be the worst thing in the world.
If you have Mog and the Moogle/Molulu's Charm (for whichever version you're playing), stick him in one of your parties for the tower and you can bail out fairly easily by simply using that party to backtrack all the way to the beginning. I think the point of no return isn't until after you start meeting the big bosses, but it might be a little earlier or later. Can't recall at this point. -------------------- "To create something great, you need the means to make a lot of really bad crap." - Kevin Kelly Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN? |

I believe mine were mid-60s as well. If you need to do some leveling, head to the Dinosaur Forest.
Just to re-iterate: 1) Like Blinge said, you can back out if necessary; 2) Like GMH said, you will have to have three separate parties, so you'll want to have more than four characters capable of fighting. -------------------- Currently Playing : Final Fantasy V Most Recently Beat : Elder Scrolls: Skyrim Favorite Game : Final Fantasy X The newest CoNcast is up!
