I know.. it's a gamer website and the stereotype is that any gamer who tries to dance will end up looking like JP from Grandma's Boy, but seriously, it's not true. haha. I've been dancing for some time now and I really love it. I'm actually looking for suggestions everywhere I can to get something going in my small city. There are dance schools here, but non that teach any sort of pop n lock. At best there are a couple that venture far enough outside of Ballet and Jazz to get a little hip hop in the mix..
For dancing I really enjoy the 80s funk styles of music. I'm sure some of you can remember stuff like Paul Hardcastle, or maybe some of the 90s stuff like Freestyle's Don't Stop The Rock. I can get into some dubstep, but I'm terribly picky about it and the dancing requires a lot more knowledge of all the changes in each song. almost seems like too much work to sync to every song before being able to look like you know what you're doing. What do you guys like in terms of music you can move to? You don't have to be great at dancing. Everyone has something they move to, even if they do it in their room where no one can see. haha! Anyway, here is a video of me dancing. I made this unscripted freestyle to show a bit of what I will be offering to teach. Don't think many around here are interested in it though... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0ExbwFU7oI&feature=youtu.be This post has been edited by Sephiroth on 26th August 2012 02:20 -------------------- Climhazzard is the timeless evil robot who runs some of the cool stuff at CoN (mostly logging chat, since there are no quizzes at the moment), all the while watching and waiting for his moment to take over the world. -Tiddles |

![]() Eisley- "Mr. Moon" I really like the flow of this song. It lends itself to long, graceful moves so it's super fun to freestyle with. A Nightmare Before Kefka is great. It's a really great remix. Truth be told, it's one of the few songs I never skip on my mp3 player, no matter what mood I'm in haha. Deftones- "Passenger" is super super great. The instrumental break is powerful! Britney Spears-Criminal This one, I wanna do a routine to wearing a bandit mask over my mouth like Alethea Austin did in one of her routines! MOther Tongue-Silhouette This one has a nice, grungy feel. SO SORRY for linking y'all to Myspace, but this is the only way to find these buttholes ![]() Darkest Days- Porn Star Dancing Hahaha sorry, had to throw that one in there. A few more that I like, that're probably more heard-of: Going Under-Evanescence (really anything from the Fallen album is great) Zombie- The Cranberries By the Way- Red Hot Chilli Peppers E.T- Katy Perry Circus- Britney Spears -------------------- You're telling me that there's no hope. I'm telling you you're wrong. |

I do love to dance. Wherever I am, l always have my music, and when a song comes that l can dance to, l do! doesn't matter where. Videogame remixes and techno are really fun, and of course anything by Billy Idol.
My favorites include: Massacre by Complusion, Bones by The Killers, Normal by Bumblefoot, Pray by Tommy heavenly6, Red dragon tattoo by Fountains of wayne, Voodoo child by Rogue traders, and Ranbu no melody by SID. -------------------- "You know that feeling you get when you're on a merry go 'round, and you want to jump off to make the spinning stop, but you know it'll suck when you land? Well i do not dance... At all, however i am in into metal...
Yes yes i know that i am well off the beaten path now, however i have begun learning German lately, and i like to listen to a band called Rammstein. Their genre is like an industrial techno metal. It actually has a name, its called tanz metal (not sure on the spelling). However, that translates to dance metal. Some of it isn't so hard core, some is heavier. The songs have definite beats you can learn, and some are even very predictable, which i believe is good for dancing, but what do I know, im not a dancer. Anyways thats my thoughts. Here are a couple you could try dancing to. Moskau -- Moskow Feuer Frei -- Fire at will Stirb Nicht Vor Mir -- Dont die before i do Rosenrot -- Red Rose- Of all i think this might be the best. Mann gegen Mann -- Man against man- Or this could be a good one. Ok again remember im not a dancer, i also cannot keep a beat or have any rhythm in my body, so if this isnt even remotely good dancing music forgive me. haha -------------------- *Why do people insist on creating things that will inevitably be destroyed? Why do people cling to life, knowing that they must someday die? ...Knowing that none of it will have meant anything once they do? *Oh? Then...welcome to my barbecue! Hee-hee-hee! *"Wait," he says... Do I look like a waiter? |
