Lego kicks some serious butt. I used to play with Lego all the time. Admittedly still do sometimes
![]() Seriously though, what CAN'T you make out of Lego? Edit omg... how did I forget about Transformers... Hey, I play Warhammer 40k too, got myself a 2000 point Ork army, a 1000 point Tau army and the beginnings of a Tallarn army (Imperial guard) This post has been edited by Generic Fighter #382 on 5th November 2003 04:15 -------------------- Club Sandwiches. I played a lot Lego when I was young, because my cousins had a big set, and they gave it to me when they got bored of it (they are older than me). Also, I had a little collection of Saint Seya action figures, where you could put every little part of their armors one by one. And some GI Joe too...man, that was a long time ago.

G.I. Joe all the way, I had a ton of 'em, had a bunch of vehicles too, then, when I grew older, I started actually SHOOTING the missle thingies, instead of holding them and moving them over to where I wanted 'em. Made my wars with my bro and one of my friends a LOT harder. And yes we had WARS. Days on end wars, we would have my mom lock the room when we were done for the night, and she would unlock it when we were all awake in the morning. If one of us had to leave the room at all for any period of time, for any reason, we would also lock the room in order to "discourage" cheating.

I had a bunch of Transformers, the Voltron lions, and many He-Man action figures. The only one I still have, that I can find, was Skunkor from He-Man. The only reason I can still find him is because he smells like a skunk, even after all these years.
As for Transformers and Voltron, remember when toys where made of metal? Not all this plastic that breaks after a few weeks of punishment. Those were the days. ![]() -------------------- "My impersonation of an ordinary person was flawless." - Neal "Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened." - Dr. Seuss |

woah, way back when, we made lego creations to slide down snow covered hills. great fun, racing little ships and hoping you dont wreck, because it is a lot of effort to try and find lego pieces in the snow.

I was all about X-Men and Spider Man action figures.. when I was about 10 or 11 or so, my version of heaven was when I discovered XMen vs. Street Fighter action figures... oh yeah, hours of fun right there...

I grew up on one tub of legos and various Happy Meal Toys. The only Happy Meal Toys that lasted more than a month were the Beast Wars Transfomer ones.

up til i turned like 5 or so, i LOVED matchbox and hot wheels cars more than anything else, i still have all of them in my closet. i had lots and lots of ninja turtle action figures, and of course like every boy in the 80s and 90s, i played with legos constantly, to the point where i would lock myself in my room for 6 hours doing only that. i built some pretty amazing stuff back then.
i had my older brothers nintendo to play with when i was like 3, and i still have it here, and i had my dads guitars, and later my own, which were probably my favorite thing in the world after my matchbox car phase, and still are. -------------------- You watch the world exploding every single night Dancing in the sun, a newborn in the light Say goodbye to gravity and say goodbye to death Hello to eternity and live for every breath Your time will come... |

I will have to go with Legos, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and WWF action figures with the ring. I still have all them in storage somewhere, Brutus the Beefcake Barber, Shawn Michaels, Jake the Snake, Big Boss Man, etc.

I had standard toys when I was young. I really didn't have that many but the one I did have I really liked.
A Fisher Price cooking set (stove, dishes): Oh man, I used to LOVE playing house with this. When my mom used to take my sister to high school, I'd pick maple seed 'cones' and pretend they were 'meatballs'. We 'ate' spaghetti and meatballs a lot. I played with this until the early 90s. Barbies (yep, quite a few): Dressing them up was fun and also making clothes for them. I sold the whole lot to buy my SNES. She-Ra dolls: Oh man, I used to love She-Ra and He-Man. My favorite was Catra. A shout out to all you people who remember the early 80s. Legos: As was stated earlier, what can't you build of of them? I seemed to make lots of space ships. I didn't have any specialized set but I had one of those large assorted buckets. I tended to do a LOT of DRAWING AND PAINTING when I was young (well, something NEVER change). ![]() -------------------- kame, tortue, tortuga, schildkröte, tartaruga, turtle "Arthur Dent?" "Yes." All four of the Turtles are armed and ready on top of my T.V. right now. On my canoe trip this summer we duct taped one of them to each of the canoes for good luck, and so we could tell them apart (this led to some funny conversations. "you're portaging Michaelangelo today." "No, you are!")
But after about age 9 basically all my money I had to spend on toys went to video games. -------------------- Hip-Hop QOTW: "Yeah, where I'ma start it at, look I'ma part of that Downtown Philly where it's realer than a heart attack It wasn't really that ill until the start of crack Now it's a body caught every night on the Almanac" "Game Theory" The Roots |

I hate to say, that I collected Barbies when I was younger. I don't feel so bad after I realize the fact that I always cut their hair and pulled limbs off because they got boring. Now I've evolved to Anime and Manga dolls. Heheheheh. At least I cherish these.
I played with Tinker Toys a LOT when I was little. I loved those so much. Even after having my brother bump the bucket when there was a tinker toy attatched, and in my mouth, scraping it along the roof of my mouth taking out a hefty chunk and sending me to the hospital, I still loved TinkerToys. When I have kids, they can have them too. Just not the bucket. I had a dollhouse that my mom had made me that I loved a lot. I actually want to build one of those really really big dollhouses with all sorts of the really realistic cute furniture in it. They're so cute! Also, everytime I smell a certain flowery smell, it makes me think of that dollhouse because mom scented the flowers in the flowerbox. ^.^ I think my toys were clutter, because my room was a;ways filled wth it. One toy that I have been receiving for presents since I was born, that I hope to never stop getting, are teddy bears. I love teddy bears because if you ever need a hug, there's someone there to share one with you. *^^* -------------------- ..DDR..Maine.. ..Hikaroo-chan no Deviantart.. <Tiddles> And I love how people suggest "Why not call it my great name?????" when their name is clearly the worst thing ever. <Tiddles> "How about ; Mozilla Xplorer & Mozilla Xpress." <Tiddles> How about you die in a fire? |

Man, I still want to play with toys.
I had tons of Legos, and that was awesome. I loved Transformers more than anything. Some TMNT, but I usually lost them, and a bunch of GI Joes that I picked up every year for my birthday. I don't think I could've been happier. -------------------- I find your lack of faith disturbing... |

This thread makes me miss Legos. I loved Legos and would build with them for hours upon hours. My favorite thing I ever made was a dragon that had arms with movable hands, and he could pick up guys and eat them. I think I still have him built back home.

I love toy guns, I have no real reason why, I just get a real kick out of firing a cap gun. I love legos, and the satisfaction you feel when you finally complete one of those insanely big lego island castle things. I love Batman and Spider man action figures, as well as anything close to a Gundam Wing or Dragon Ball action figure.
My other "toys" include my guitars. Those are my favorite toys. I play with them all the time. I'm still very much a huge child. -------------------- Okay, but there was a goat! |

The gundam models are great! I wish they still sold them around here. I have completed about six figures, a couple of lvl 1, 3 or so within the lvl 2-4 range, and 1 HG lvl 6.

I've done a few of the Level 5 Gundam Models, like Epyon and Shenlong. I have a level three Wing Zero, and a level 3 DeathSycthe. They're actually really fun, but time consuming as hell. I guess as models are though...I love making them though.
