I couldn't help it, ok? Ahem. In exciting news, Final Fantasy Airborne Brigade has finally been announced for the US and Canada. The game, for Android and iOS mobile devices, is a free-to-play social RPG where players interact with each other and team up to defeat enemies. Airsihps and chocobos, unsurprisingly, feature prominently. The title has been successful in both Korea and Japan for about a year now, so the announcement, which came earlier today, was anticipated.
The game's art style is notable (read: cute), and has been featured in the Kingdom Hearts mobile series as well as Theatrhythm Final Fantasy. Characters from throughout the Final Fantasy series (including Tactics, Type-0, sequels and spinoffs) appear in the game as 'Legends' who can be used like summons/espers for a special attack. A 'free 3-month exclusive Cloud Strife in-game card' will be given to anyone who pre-registers, allowing players to summon the FFVII-favorite to their aid. There are 52 Legends thus far, including all main heroes/heroines and most of the series' iconic villains. The game also uses a class system featuring 29 jobs, most of which are found in FFV. The second source is also the page for pre-registration, for anyone who is interested. Source: Square Enix, Official Airborne Brigade site |

They call this style the "Monster Octopus" style of character design, I believe that Monster Octopus is the design studio who came up with these designs in the first place. And I love it, and that's exactly why I've preregistered for this game. I don't know that I'll enjoy it, or even play it, but I really like the concept.

Fresh and colorful design, free to play, seems a bit lighthearted; I would definitely preregister for it if I had a mobile device to play it on -------------------- Currently Playing : Final Fantasy V Most Recently Beat : Elder Scrolls: Skyrim Favorite Game : Final Fantasy X The newest CoNcast is up! I just spent about a half hour playing this and I'm really not quite sure what I accomplished, if anything.
However, if you too downloaded this and want to add me to your party, I think you can by looking for "rangers51." Not quite sure how that works either. Edit It looks a little grotty on my iPhone 4S, too. I wonder if it's just being scaled down poorly from a higher-res iPad version? It's not nearly as attractive as Theatrhythm, not by a long shot. I am currently playing this game. It is rather big and expansive, however only through a mash of links. It is kinda fun when you slowly start to get ahold of the controls and everything. I am sadly not sold on it yet, but i am beginning to like it, perhaps because i want so much to like it. Also worth noting, i have a tendency to dive head first into a game for a little while, then get bored quickly with things and just drop it.
