As I was trolling around looking for cool stuff tied to the 25th Anniversary celebrations of this week, I found Brett Wilson's series of posters, one for each numeral'd game in the series (unfortunately for me, this means no Tactics. sad.gif )

You can see the two sets of them at his Tumblr:

What makes this set really awesome is not just the quality of the art, it's that we can all own them - they're all for sale, and in various sizes and price points. He's even thinking about doing a Kickstarter for the series so he can have more flexibility in how he sells them and such, and it might be the first Kickstarter I'm interested enough in to kick in, should he go that route. Heck, I like these enough that I could see us offering them as prizes if and when we ever do another CoNtest.

Bottom line - go check these out. I don't know that we could ever get him to come post at CoN, but these need to be seen no matter what, if you ask me.

I'm not gonna lie, the poster for VI was so good it nearly brought a tear to my eye. The tagline at the bottom just sold it. The VIII was pretty good too, though I must admit I was a bit disappointed with V and XII's. XIII's is actually really cool.

Nice art style. I especially liked IX (Iifa Tree is a nostalgia bomb) but IV and VI are awesome, too. No idea what's happening in post-XII posters, but it almost makes me want to start up XIII again just to see. Almost. wink.gif

The style on these is just lovely. They work together so nicely as a set - I'd really like to pick up a few of them once I'm stateside again this summer. FFVI and FFIV are probably my favorites: I feel like his design and color palettes are most cohesive on these two - but FFVIII and FFXIII are also quite good. I would be ok with FFX except for the poor choice of a quote. There's a ton of great material to quote from in that game, and that's the best he's got? FFIX and FFVII are also pretty nice.
