*sigh* I wish there were more than 10 poll answers allowed. Anyway, the other choices are obviously Shadow, Strago, Terra, and Umaro. Take your pick.
![]() I think, after much deliberation, I'm going to go with Cyan's. It's very noble, with a touch of sadness; an excellent evocation of his character. It fits him perfectly, and it's a lovely tune as well. Second place? Kefka. I love how it starts out with his trademark laugh, and then just launches right into the tune. Which, as I described it in another post, is grandiose and whimsical at the same time, and does a very good job of bringing to mind his delusional behavior. Third place would have to go to Shadow. Very cool, very low-key and laid-back. Doesn't reveal a thing about him. Nice. ![]() Runners-up for me are Gogo's, Relm's, Strago's, Terra's, and Umaro's. Yes, I'm being indecisive, thanks for asking. ![]() |

Celes - It is one of the all time classic songs fond in games. It really seems to evoke quite a bit of emotion from me. That is pretty hard for a game to do.

Shadow's. Â It's the most distinctive, and those opening twanging guitar riffs just rule. Setzer comes in a close second, though.

I voted Cyan, but it's actually a tie between him and Shadow. Next come Relm, then Edgar&Sabin, and after that all the others : there's not a single character theme song I dislike.

Kefka. I'm horribly slanted towards favoring villains in works...

Gau! I think it reflects how he was abandoned and forgotten, yet still managed to grow into a strong young man.

it was a choice between Gau, Shadow, or Cyan...
but in the end, the choice had to go to Cyan. Shadow is definitely the best, but as it was missing on the list, I voted for Mog! My second favourite! I love that cheery beat, sometimes I even go to the Narshe mines just to listen to the song, and it's nice to see all the moogles walking around, looking the same.

I went with Celes' theme. There's just so much emotion in that piece.

My vote was for Celes' theme. I think it's one of the best melodies, even if I don't like the arrangement in the game or either of the arrangements I have for the piano.
I like Terra's theme a lot, too, but my absolute favorite is Rachel's. She doesn't rate a spot in the poll, though. ![]() -------------------- Veni, vidi, dormivi. |

All of them are without a doubt are very fitting for the character they portray, especially Celes. Her theme song seems to symbolize her character and internal struggle longer than anyone else, even Terra; however, I voted for Relm since no one else did and I liked Relm's also.

I'd have to say Celes, although Cyan, Relm and Terra's were all close ones.
Celes' theme just has one of those timeless qualities, just like the Opera. I would've voted for Terra's. But it wasn't on there.
![]() And dispite how much I love Kefka. *Hugs Kefka, then gets zapped* Oww... I picked Gogo's. Because it sounds weirder. And I like weird things. Obviously Celes is the best theme song of FF6, even though Locke is alot cooler, Aerith's theme song is pretty close to Celes..odd..

Gau's theme. I'm rather surprised no one has mentioned it at all. It's such an innocent theme, capturing the feel of Gau being a young boy left in the wild, but with the determination to survive. His theme is heard I think twice throughout the entire game, and it fits so well when Gau says
Possible spoilers: highlight to view Father...Alive....h.a.p.p.y.... even after being shunned by his father. Aside from Gau's theme, I thought Cyan's theme was awesome. Again, it captures his personality. It was a brilliant piece. Not far down the list is Kefka's theme. It's just oozing with clownish evilness. It has a "no matter what you do, I'll have the last laugh" feel to it. |

I definitely liked Gau's theme song the best. It's really sad with the violin playing in the background when Gau meets his father. One of the game's more emotional moments.

Most of the theme songs were gorgeous. I especially liked Terra's, Celes', Shadow's, Cyan's and Relm's.

I voted for the Edgar/Sabin theme just because its really upbeat and triumphant, like a fanfare. Anyways, I really like all the themes except for Stroggo's. For some reason to me it's bouncy for a 60 yr old...

all theme songs are good in ff6.
i like especially Celes theme, dunno how to describe. Terra's theme is great, the songs gives a felling like "you dunno what should be done" which match terra's storyline greatly. Cyan theme is great too. |

Lockes theme by far. It fits him perfectly as the brave treasure hunter. Everytime I have to fight with Locke and the moogles to save Terra, I always get a little pumped up since Locke's theme is blasting in the background the whole time.
A close second was Kefka's. I dont know why but I like it, I even have copy of it orchastrated and its even better. -------------------- War is for the participants a test of character; it makes bad men worse and good men better. - Joshua Chamberlain U sir R a n00b >:-( - Cactuar |

My personal favorite is Celes' theme. It doesn't matter how many times I've listened to it, it still manages to bring a tear to my eye. Call me crazy but I even took the time to learn it on the piano
![]() A fairly close second would be Kefkas theme, it's just so... Kefka. This post has been edited by Generic Fighter #382 on 3rd November 2003 14:03 -------------------- Club Sandwiches. Not Seals. |

I always was a fan of Umaro's. It's just gotta that lumbering beat to it that really scratched my interest. The others are rather bombastic and dramatic (not a bad thing mind you), but there was a nice fun and innocent simplicity to Umaro's song that really fit with the character. Man it's been awhile since I listened to my FFVI soundtrack. I think I'll pop it in when I get home.

1. Shadow
2. Gogo 3. Terra 4. Cyan 5. Strago I voted for Gogo. It's just cool to sing, as Shadow's is cool to whistle.
