I'm guessing a lot of people already know this and I'm guessing it doesn't work but I heard that you can steal another Atma Weapon in the final battle against Kefka, so is it possible to warp out of the final battle?
I'm playing the GBA version for the first time and I know that you can continue the game after beating Kefka but I was curious about the warp spell and if it would work in either the GBA or the SNES version. Thanks for the help. |

There is no way to escape from an inescapable battle without hacking, including the final boss battle. That being said, there are glitches involving the final battle that will allow you to duplicate any weapon and/or shield in the game.

Also, as far as I am aware in the SNES version, you can't steal anything from the final battle. ROM data doesn't have it there. I'm pretty sure it's true in GBA, too, as those are not the types of changes that they often made in the portable remakes.

You can steal things during the final battle of FFVI in the GBA version.
For example, you can get a Ragnarok from Lady (thanks to this you can get both the sword and the esper in the same file), an Ultima Weapon from Rest, and a Megalixir from Kefka himself. -------------------- FF games completed: I (psp), II (psp), III (DS), IV (psp), V (GBA), VI (GBA), VII, VIII, IX, X, XI: Nations-Rhapsodies of Vana'diel, XII, XIII, XIV, XV. Spin-offs: FFIV: Interlude & The After Years, Crisis Core: FFVII, X-2, XIII-2, Lightning Returns, Type-0 HD, Dissidia, Dissidia 012, and Tactics (original & WotL). Enjoyed them all. |

Sorry, I was tired when I typed that. The Megalixir is also in SNES, just not the Atma Weapon as the OP asked. ![]() -------------------- "To create something great, you need the means to make a lot of really bad crap." - Kevin Kelly Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN? |

Great, thanks for the help.
So how exactly does the game continue after Kefka in the GBA version, do you lose Shadow if you continue the game? (Seeing as how he decides to stay behind during the ending) |

It really just kind of acts like you never beat the game. You still get Shadow and you can fight Kefka again if you so choose.

If you warp away where are you going to go? The big bads will simply give chase and/or wait for you to return.
I can see keeping items as a reason to be able to warp away. They also could have programmed that you had to steal their own items to beat them. The creators had to judge their fan base before producing it. Same with every fiction out there. -------------------- https://www.youtube.com/user/Greatermaxim Terra - LV 99 - HP 9999 - MP 999 Equipment - - - Abilities Illumina - - - - - Fight Genji Shield - - Morph Oath Veil - - - - Magic Minerva - - - - - Item Ribbon Economizer |
