Ah, Sabin.
The old favorite of prepubescent me... he's just not as solid of a character as many others in my opinion. Although, I've never really taken his intelligence into account regarding the grand scheme of the storyline, he's friendly and cooperative to the team the whole way through (After Vargas), no matter how brash he may come across as being. Upon growing up, 7/10 on the intelligence scale (maybe even an 8 since Aura Bolt is MagPwr based...) -------------------- "In I go, off to mend. Out I come, healthy again." |

the first time Gau joins your party is a great example of sabins intelligence in my opinion. You also could consider when Gau causes him to drop his wallet in the cave while searching for the diving mask.

You know for comparison you could compare Sabin Figaro to Shunsuii Kyoraku from Bleach. They both play that mellow fellow who can be somewhat "Dumb" at times like whne Sabin is at the Opera House, but are incredibly strong and intelligent.
I enjoy seeing the adventures of both these men -------------------- Kefka's Message of the week: Get off your couch noobs and get my new game Dissidia 012 |

I never saw Sabin as a "dumb muscle", he seems fairly intelligent (not as much as his brother though) and is probably a very good tactician in battle. Yes, his line in the opera scene is hilariously silly, but I interpreted that as him simply not being used to people. Since, you know, he's spent the majority (?) of his life training in the mountains.
