Post your favorite.

Mine is FFVII's Highind. It can hold a Chocobo, rest up, and fly almost anywhere.

Ragnarok from VIII. Mostly for the bullet barrage scene and the design.

I'm not a big fan of airships, but I'd say that Highwind is my favorite.

I like the classic design of the airship that makes them look like the old-age ships, so I went with the Blackjack.

As the airships race towards godhood, I must pick the dark horse: the fantabulous, wondrous, steam-driven Hilde Garde III from FF9. That boatlike aesthetic really gets my adventurer's blood pumping, and seeing that it's completely old-fashioned and steampunky at the same time...whew. A lot of airships in FF9 have a similar look (excluding the Invincible, which I always hated) but HG3 really takes the cake in luxury. It makes me feel like a salty first mate sailing in the clouds. *dreamy sigh*

The Blackjack. Perfect for flying in luxury. And gambling.

Yeah, because, once you stop evil, what else would you need a flying ship for? Lol.

I haven't gotten a copy of FFIX yet, but I promise I will sometime. Sorry for not including it.

EDIT: I keep my promises. I got it in September, along with CTDS and FFVIII. pinch.gif

It's my second favorite game of the series. But I had forgotten about it too.

For my it's the falcon from VI. Mostly due to the story behind it, an excellent part of the game. The old world look is something I've always been fond of and it works perfectly in its design. I just wish there was more official artwork for it.

I voted for FF8's Ragnarok for aesthetic reasons mostly, as well as its capacity for space travel (a massively under-used feature IMHO tongue.gif )

Honourable mention too for the Prima Vista in FF9. I know the poll is for the player-controlled airships but I can't think of a better on-ship entertainment system than a full size theater!

I voted III's Invincible. It had a bed, a giant chocobo, an awesome design, vending machines that spat out awesome gear, hopped mountains, and was actually so badass that it never had to land. Ever. It dropped you from a ladder. Yeah, this hardly seems like a competition to me tongue.gif.

I voted Lunar Whale. It had everything you needed. Free rest, free storage, and total badassery. Runners up have to be a tie between the Ragnarok and the Invincible.

Ragnarok (FFVIII) not because of the design, but because the music was really good everytime you flew it. tongue.gif

For those listed, I went with the Blackjack. Cuz Setzer rocks.

But for those not listed, I'd also have to pick the Hilde Guard III (FFIX), because whenever I get it and listen to that theme, it makes me SO DARN HAPPY!! wink.gif
