Unless you speak fluent, technological Spanish, you can ignore the text. It's the pictures that tell the story. Someone took a small, portable TV and encased it along with the innards of a Nintendo 64 to make sort of an N64 Game Boy. It's incredibly cool and I want it.
http://www.inventosunicos.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=14 The picspam is pretty long, but I think it's really neat to see the progress of the handheld system. -------------------- Hey, put the cellphone down for a while In the night there is something wild Can you hear it breathing? This is the kind of thing that I wish I could do. I love the concept of building things from other things, but I lack the physical dexterity, and in this case, I most certainly lack the electronics expertise.
That said, this is definitely one of the coolest console-into-handheld conversions I've seen, and the end result of the fabrication looks fantastic - the quality of the external package is definitely something that I could see coming right off of a store shelf. Now, for my money, I'd rather personally have a HTPC built into an old N64 shell, but this would be pretty neat too. ![]() -------------------- "To create something great, you need the means to make a lot of really bad crap." - Kevin Kelly Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN? |

That's really cool. I can't work out where the battery is. Does anyone know?

You know, that's a great question. The schematics show it having a dual power source, battery and AC, and the battery itself is shown in one of the photos, but it's definitely not visible in later photos from what I can tell, and the last photos don't have a visible wire plugging it into a wall, either.

I agree with the first post on that site: "Madre mia, madre mia!!"
I've tried to use Google Translate. He said he was going to have a video of the process out soon. I'm searching the comments to see if anybody asks him about that. Edit On the last page, he said that the console originally ran on AC, and how he had to change it to DC for the batteries. But he didn't say anything about where he put the battery. Do you think it's on the outside? This post has been edited by BlitzSage on 19th July 2011 21:00 -------------------- |

Holy smoke, he even did a matte finish! I wish handhelds other than the DSi XL had that...
Seriously, though, great job by that guy. Looks professional. -------------------- |
