I was wondering what you all could come up with for this one--and this could be anything, be it while you were playing one of the games, cosplay, a concert, or merely blasting "One Winged Angel" to stop the obscene amount of really bad rap being blared from your upstairs neighbor's apartment (it works every time, I swear).

Just curious, really.

One time, when I first went up against Penance, When he used Judgement Day, at the same time the attack hit, The ground started to shake for a few minutes.

the calaveras fault shifted slightly, causing a 5.3 on the richter scale, but the timing was perfect.

I still lost the battle , but I couldn't stop laughing for hours. biggrin.gif

Well, back when the first kingdom hearts was released, I was new to Final Fantasy: too young to have played the SNES ones (since i did not comprehend english back then) and I was a nintendist of heart, so no PS1 FFs for me.

That said, one moment i will never forget (i know it's no big deal, but really was for me) is when my friend, almost ending kingdom hearts, went to the coliseum and said: "hey, there's ???? battle here. I wonder what it is..."

He enters the battle and some runic magic thing shows up in the sky, with beautiful light effects. From it, a ray of light comes down and Sephiroth rises, with his majestic presence, big sword and that awesome music (one winged angel). After a few seconds of battle, my friend is defeated. "So powerful, so cool" I tought.

That moment defined the image I have of Sephiroth. today, having played a bunch of FFs (7 included), he may not be my favorite villain, but the memory of the event above narrated still makes me "respect" him.

I can't say it's my favorite, since I've been playing those games for a while, but sure is in the top 5.

Lol ! I misread this as you fought Penance on Judgement day ! The Rapture happened and we all missed it ? Lol. tongue.gif Darn !

Though I wouldn't play OWA anywhere, would be too scared to get somebody say in return " You like that nerdy game ! " sad.gif

Final Fantasy VI, when the world of ruin 'Happened' I was not expecting it, I thought when nearing the end of the world of balance that I'd nearly finished.

Also FFX

Auron had been a prefered character of mine until I reached the ruins of Zanarkand, the constant enigma of his persona had become a bit irksome. Then Upon meeting Yunalesca I had no idea how Yuna's choice would work, or what it would be. Then you're treated to a flashback of Auron's death and suddenly it becomes clear that you're all going to fight Yunalesca and fight what all seemed to be predetermined. I really loved that.

I suppose the first time I managed to breed a Gold chocobo in FFVII. After all the searching, fighting, feeding, racing and breeding finally I had one. The next thing I did was get me some KOTR materia..

Yep, it was definitely worth it!

Sticking with FFVII I remember the escape from Midgar. The FMV was memorable, as was the following escape.

I could go on and on, but that could be seen as hijacking the thread!

I think that one still hits me, even to this day when I play it. So does the Opera scene. Those scenes were when I began to think that FFVI was more than just a game to me.

But I have to say the famous FFVII scene. Because, as you all know what happens, since it's the worst kept secret in gaming, I knew what to expect, but I didn't know when it was going to happen. But when it became clear that it was close, the anticipation of it actually made it better that I did know.

And, I won't lie, I'm putting this in spoilers so only a few know I teared up when she died. But it really got me as Cloud picked up her body and carried it over to the water. I just thought it was a beautifully constructed scene.

Lol, I wish I had something more unique than the scenes that everybody knows about.

I was shocked by a few FF X scenes and dialouges:

Possible spoilers: highlight to view

For instance, that the summoner dies for the high summoning, that Jekkt is Sin, that Mika and Auron are unsents, that the Al Bhed are the "good ones" and try to rescue all summoners, dream zanarkand and that Tidus is just a dream, and also very much Mi'Hel (?) offensive which failed completly. Also that Sin gets reborn over and over.
Interesting and ironically, if you think about it - If the offensive would have been a success, Sin wouldn't even be reborn.

Oh gosh, so many.

I could say just about every single scene in FFX, honestly, but I can narrow it down to a couple. The first, which is my most memorable moment in all of videogaming, would be the ending; I will say without any shame that I teared up at the scene with Tidus and Yuna aboard the airship upon defeating the final bosses. It gets me every time.

Another great set of moments from FFX for me would be those concerning Auron in the late-game; the Yunalesca scenes, like Bas and Blinge mentioned, and his scene after defeating the final bosses.

I could probably keep on naming off every main event in the plot of FFX, but another great moment I really appreciated was from FFVI, when Celes awakes alone on her island. I thought that this was really one of the shining moments of the game, as it does a really good job of impressing the character with the dire situation at hand.

There are a couple FFVIII moments that stick with me as well; I really enjoyed the section at the Lunar base, and I liked the missile attack / Norg takeover parts too.
