I'm just stopping to say that I thoroughly enjoyed FF7: DoC and I can't understand why it gets so much flak from the fans.

Sure the story was odd, but I felt that the gameplay was genuinely enjoyable.

I Can't really say, because I didn't really get far in the game. I Don't have much of a opinion, expect playing as young Turk Vincent was pretty cool. Maybe because it was a shooter game and not a JRPG ?

I enjoyed it.

I wouldn't consider it great or even anything terribly special; the game's style of play was pretty basic and the story was, well, kinda what one would expect a story centered around Vincent after the events of the main game to be. I would've liked a bit more customization with the weapons, which seemed to be one of the company's early selling points. The campaign was pretty straightforward too; you did what you had to do, and then it was done.

That said, I did enjoy it. It certainly didn't wow me and I didn't do much besides go straight through and beat it once, but it was satisfying enough while I was playing it.

I agree that it seemed to be over before it began, the game was fun while it lasted.

Yeah, the customization felt a little limited and it was pretty linear.

In my humble opinion, though, DoC is the best of the FFVII collection. thumbup.gif

Personally FFVII DOC > FFVII CC.

Was a good game, but not very long.
I'll replay some day.

That's a tough call for me. CC did some good plot stuff for me, but then again, now that I think about it, DoC was not without its shining story moments. I'm really not sure how to lean on this one.
